I have to notify HC of a change of address, I expect that means completely filling out all the forms again, I need to find the new ones online I just have the old ones on the PC.
Got a letter back from Health Canada stating they need more info from the doctor as they think the dosage/plant count is to high, keep in mind that the people working at health Canada are not doctors, either way the doctor is on it and will hopefully be clearing this up , took 5 months for them to send me the letter
How many grams a day have you been prescribed
When mine was re done this year they were questioning my 4.5 g a day use.
Did they send you the letter in the mail? How long did it take to get your renewal after that? I wonder if it’s just one agent at HC that is questioning things as I was talking to a buddy who has a really large plant count and had zero issues
It was actually the doctor at the pain clinic. I think they are starting to try and reduce limits wherever they can.
They need to understand that their are different ways to use it and it doesn’t necessarily mean that you are actually smoking that total amount , let’s say you make hash rosin , take a LB of flower and make hash and say you get a 10% return on the hash so 45g now press the hash maybe a 50% return so out of that LB you end up with 22.5g of rosin. How about making oil? What about edibles and some people juice the leaves. Plenty of reasons for high Grams per day , with they would understand that but they just think people are just smoking flower
Just came across this topic. Wow. What an eyeopener.
I let my 25 plant licence lapse last October after hearing about the city of Winnipeg plans to change bylaws to address those +400 plant houses with no odour control. I may have over reacted, but didn’t want to be apart of any proposed inspection process.
Just curious, what is the lowest plant count anyone has seen offered by the licence companies?
You can get a plant count as long as 1g/day if you want but I think they usually start around 3g/day (14 plants). It’s only when you start getting to around 20g/day (98 plants) that Health Canada has started sending out letters to about their “large prescriptions”.
It’s absurd when the whole thing could be resolved by regulating how much the canna clinics can charge and ditching the plant count in favour of using wattage and sq ft of flowering space to limit production. Neither of which would limit people collecting moms or growing more varieties needlessly.
I think it’s funny that I applied for my first license this year, for 10 plants…and they sent me one for 24.
When I first got my grow license they wanted to just give me 1g a day which is 5 plants inside. I told them I was already using 3g a day and she said that seems more like a habit than need and upped it to 2g a day or 10 plants. I wasn’t going to argue because I was going to grow however many I wanted anyway lol. Now have a licence for 23 plus my 4 rec weed plants which is plenty for me.
Thanks guys.
If you don’t mind, could you share your license company names or links?
Mine was through my doctor and the local pain clinic, I don’t have to paay anything for it.
I went through License To Grow on referral from a guy on here. It was about 100 bucks.
what a shitshow this has become. huge surprise lol. i let my license expire and made a bunch of feminized seeds so i can just start and finish 4 plants as needed. my days of planting tons and going through the selection process are over for now. hooray canada!
I have used them since 2018, very smooth process, they walk you through every step if you are unsure/uneasy.
What ever anyone dose , don’t try to get over a 25g license right now , anything above is in question by Heath Canada and on hold, I also use license to grow and they are in hearings with heath Canada over this right now . They have about 2200 licenses in limbo right now including mine .
You were the guy who referred me to them!
I dropped from 10g to 5g .
Hmmm…hope my likes aren’t taken the wong way. I don’t like what health canada is doing, but the likes are meant to be supportive of the poster.
Lol I wasn’t sure if it was me!
