Canadian Cannabis Act / ACMPR license Q and A

That is what I am doing. Got an appointment this Monday and then I will send the paper work off.

I am fine with that. I will still be able to grow enough to keep me in supply.

My wife and I talked about a workaround to health canada’s new restrictions on higher plant counts. I’ve been getting dicked around pretty hard on my renewal but my family doctor and pain specialist are going to fill the perscription forms out. License to Grow has really done nothing for me this time around , other than take my money. I’m trying to sort it out because it’s really thier nurse practitioner’s problem. whatever.
So to work around health canada’s bullshit, my wife is going to apply for her own acmpr license. Her’s will be for outdoor only and mine will be for indoor only. That should more than meet my plant count needs and instead of having to shut down in summer to only grow outdoor… it won;t matter anymore as I’ll be able to keep the indoor going year round… the funny part is she doesn’t use cannabis but she thinks health canada screwing people on licenses over 24g a day is total garbage and screwing with people medicinal needs
so she said fuck em… I’ll get my own license and you will grow even more plants

Just had my weed doctor renew mine, some interesting new stuff added about seeds and clones.

Only allowed to have seeds from a licensed distributor, although all the distributors I contacted when I got my first license did not supply seeds and only allowed 3 seeds per plant alocation held in storage lol. My limit is 63 then, and not the several hundred I have in the freezer

Yes I have heard about this. If I’m ever questioned about where my seeds came from, I will say they came in the weed I bought online from OCS. A licensed distributor.

I received mine about 3 weeks ago after submitting in early November. Shrugged off the tracked registered mail delivery this year, and just left it to chance haha. Worked out fine, and got some bonus months which is great.

I am operating under the assumption that I really welcome an issue with my outdoor vs indoor numbers. I have seen success in charter challenges around other aspects of MMPR ACMPR in the past, and really feel that the outdoor vs indoor numbers are ridiculous and punish those that are not able to build or maintain a large indoor growing space. The sun is free and after all it is medicine, the government should not have a say in whether its indoor or outdoor. Hoping to bum out my neighbours this year with my outdoors, and perhaps my wife with my indoors lololol.

It finally showed! After nearly 10 months! (I applied in June 2023)

I forgot to set my 3 months before expiry calendar note and now I’m in the long process again lol. Every year I renewed early I lost part of my year! Each time I lost 1 month. So this time I’m getting that back! I hope…

Who are people using for renewals now? I’m at 24g and I’m up in June, my old clinic closed its doors

@Islandguy i always renew with lyte clinic.

In in Ontario an tier 1 (25 medical + 4 recreational) is covered for me under OHIP.

Probably got their doors closed for that reason, there is a big push by health Canada to get high daily limits down as it’s being “abused” for other purposes in their words, and high plant counts are likely to incur an inspection now.

I’ve seen that my friends are buying “medical” grade weed for 1$ a gram from the internet. You just have to lie to the bank about what you purchased. Meanwhile, anyone with a large number of grams per day gets raked over the coals to determine if they are selling weed for 1$ a gram online.

safe supply in BC RCMP just busted a ring that is reselling the safe supply drugs in big quantities

hah hah at least they were selling “safe” supply drugs, so nobody likely died from contaminated shit.

I’ve never seen or heard of inspections here in Ontario. Or any kind of enforcement. Who would do an inspection?
I could understand neighbors complaining about someone growing 500 plants in a subdivision but that’s just crazy.
If your growing and selling large amounts under a license you will draw attention.

24g plant count is not a “large licence” it’s barely enough for my needs , to decent hash made into oil it takes quite a bit of material.

It does depend on how your using it but I guess health Canada may feel it excessive to needs, from my discussions with my weed doctor, it’s all about how the positive affects of it are balanced against the negative side affects of what they believe there are.

Also they are not interested in how we are also connected with the plant regarding, breeding and looking for better strains to help. All they see is you should just be taking this as a means for suppressing your symptoms like any other medication, not for pleasure and just purely enough to do what it needs to do without causing more problems.

From from I am reading from people who are getting visited it’s the police mainly.

Good thing all the seeds I have are herms from seeds I purchased from a licensed distributor…I claim ignorance after that…lol…I am just a stupid stoner after all.

The only inspections I’ve ever heard of are the large scale operations that have thousands of plants over there count and are tied to a license. I go to multiple grow shops in and out of my area and the shops have never once heard of any one getting inspected, if someone did get inspected it would be news in the shops and everyone would hear about it , do you actually know anyone who has ever been inspected?
