Same here. About 3 weeks to get mine.
I have heard of people waiting months.
I mailed mine near the end of March and it came in the mail today. :sun_with_face:

Who did you do your renewal through?

How big is your plant count?

Have a look at the websites of the license providers and you will see a breakdown of plant counts. Then you can choose what best suits your needs. There are indoor only options, outdoor only or a mix of both.

werent we allowed to bring in seeds from legacy market i think micro grows have something that allows them to

That’s right. the genetics you are working with when you legalize are analyzed and you get to keep going with it. It’s still kind of a trap! Because afterwards, you don’t get to do that again.

is this only for micros snd comercial licences or medical also

You get your product tested at a Health Canada approved lab. It’s part of the application process, which is convoluted!

I’ll be honest , I don’t know the current rules on licensed businesses aquiring genetics to grow.
In the beginning of the acmpr program, potential business applicants could bring genetics into the business model. They were given a list of seedbanks that were approved, many of them dutch. Regardless, at the time of your application you were required to provide a list of seeds and plants that were to be grown under your license. IF APPROVED for the business license then those genetics became what we in Canuckistan know as Licit Cannabis… or legal under the ACMPR.
When I first applied for an ACMPR personal grow license under Health Canada, and I mentioned this earlier in the thread, the application asked me if I required start up materials. The question was simply Yes or No and I checked No. I still got my license and no questions have ever been asked about the plants or seeds I grow. I did speak to my lawyer about my seed collection and he took a week or so to get back to me as he scoured the act for applicable parts of the act. He basically told me that as long as I am licensed , all the cannabis I posess in seed, plant , extract or flower form is legal under the terms of the license.

I do not know how the current gateway is set up for micro license growers (business) to bring genetics into the acmpr Licensed Provider stream. I often ponder going the micro producer route as I do have the space to blow up a couple buildings or I could sell this place and buy a 10 acre hobby farm property with larger buildings and 300amp service. I dunno… it’s a lot of money to put up front. There is also the pressure to pull off perfect clean crops on a steady and regular basis and we all know that is exceedingly difficult in a production setting. I mean it is very doable but shit happens and there will always be that pressure to perform.
Getting licensed to sell seeds is a whole nuther ballgame and requires multiple licenses under the acmpr and Canada Agriculture (or whatever they are called). Using an acmpr consultant firm to handle all aspects of the applications … I’ve been told by two of those firms that they wouldn’t even look at starting the process without proof of 250,000 cash money in my bank and a property already set up for agricultural use. The other one I deal with for my personal license told me I should expect it to cost a million or more by the time all was said and done.
The government has done this on purpose and the “gateway” to a wide spread clone and seed market in Canuckistan is being blocked by regulation and ridiculous fees and layered licensing. They want it this way until they can have track and trace genetic markers in ALL legal cannabis seeds/plants. Chimera is one of Canada’s leading experts in this field.

I will be challenging the bylaws of my housing complex to try to allow for medical cannabis to be grown. when I came to the place, I signed a agreement that stated I would abide by the bylaws of the complex, which forbid growing cannabis amongst other things.

I will be hopefully successful in the challenge (honestly, i doubt it), and just have to have my own documentation ready to leagally begin. this would protect me in the case of accidental fires/damages
I have had a prescription in the past, but have let it lapse and had a few questions about how to go about applying and getting the acmpr approval.

  1. is the licensed practitioner notes that are easily available qualify you for medical cannabis?
  2. what do these services on this thread really do? can I complete this paperwork on my own or does this service make itself worthwhile? i have seen mixed responses on the thread
  3. what service do you recommend aloing any step of the process?
  4. what sort of timeline is a new applicant looking at to be qualified?
  5. anything else i should know?

I used CGC

Takes a week or two for the rx

Health Canada can take months to process the application.

Very simple and straightforward if you can fill out forms.

really doesn’t matter what service you use and prices per plant counts are pretty similar.
The way it works is you fill out the applicant form online with the consultant you choose to use. I’ve been using License to Grow for what it’s worth.
So you fill out the initial form and answer the questions. Ad your own comments applicable to your use of cannabis ect.
Then you get an appointment to speak with a Nurse Practicioner who will have a casual conversation with you about your needs.
After that you will get the perscription in the mail and you will either be mailed the health canada forms with the perscription or you simply download them from health canada… easy
So you fill out the form , make a photo copy of the completed form and the perscription.
Then mail the completed form with the original perscription document (not the photocopy) to Health Canada and sit back and wait.
Keep a copy of your application and perscription in a safe place.

that’s it… super easy, just takes some time is all.
