Thank you sir. And welcome to OG. If you can’t find an answer to your questions here, I don’t know what to tell you.

@Cannaology was kind enough to gift me this and since then I’ve had one flowering constantly.

I managed to kill my other S1. I was training it in the manifold style, except that I was topping at the earliest possible point. After my second topping, she stalled, then died after a few days.

This was going to be my next seed mom, but the other plants in the tent aren’t ready yet. So I’m putting her on 12s today. I’ve got the space and she’s the most ready.

Nothing like playing things by ear, I guess.

Oh yeah, and I still have another mom in the tent. I just have to wait for the other pollen recipients.

The only time I’ve seen people successful with mainline autos are working in hydro for quicker growth and recovery.

I wouldn’t even try that. I went through a really brutal HST training stage with some Double Grapes and they did really well. But these days I usually top once and let them rip unless I expect really vigorous growth.

Looking forward to seeing how she does outside. Didn’t remember not taking to a topping early on but she looks good anyway.

Either would I especially since I don’t do hydro . A grower on ilgm mainlines his autos always with huge yields. But he uses a hydro system that sprays the nutes above the water line or something. He is on ilgm if I remember his name I’ll link so you can see. Like I said really fast growth. @repins12 do you remember on ilgm cool dude something og had pretty grey dog as avatar. Anyways do you think or have you mainlined an auto?

I’m about ready to start try #3 (or is it #4?). Anyway, I’ll spray this weekend and put her on 12s next weekend. A week after that, I’ll put mothers on 12s. Here’s the dad:

She started pushing out pistils today like she’s going into bloom. I had her outside in the greenhouse to veg her faster, and she’s able to start flowering at 14 hours. FWIW, I have a couple other mothers starting to flower out there too, but most of my plants in veg haven’t shown sex yet.

I don’t have a picture of the chosen moms, but they’re all fire clones.

I have a past-time-to-flip Scorpion Candy mom. The isolation tent is 5’ and that’s too short for what she’s going to become. Once she’s pollinated I’ll put her in the 4x4, which is 7’ tall, I believe. She’s going to need that space to make a big pile of Scorpion Candy S1s.

I also have a Cap Junky getting large in a one gallon. I have a rule about pots - no more 5 gallon purchases. I just chopped a Peanut Butter Breath and its 5 gallon is available. That’ll be the perfect pot for making my Scorpion Junky fems.

There’s also a bushy Strawberry Cough in a 3 gallon. If another five comes available, I’ll put her in it. Otherwise, the three gallon pot she’s in should be sufficient for making plenty of Scorpion Cough fems.

After that I’ll have plenty of feminized seeds to hunt and trade. I think Scorpion Candy will pair really well with both clones. They’re all terpy, fruity, sticky, with a similar growth habit.

I think after this project I’m going to take a break from STS. I find male pollinators to be a lot easier to deal with. In the times I’ve tried to make seeds from this lady, by the end of this project I will have also run four generations of an auto regular project I’m working on.

Received my scorpion candy clone today. Thanks @rasterman

Scorpion Junky sounds awesome. Especially after seeing these to grow out side-by-side. Sounds like a fun cross. Should be interesting to hear the results on this one.

Funny, because Scorpion Junky is the one I’m most excited about! Scorpion Cough runs a close second though.

Nothing like having a few irons in the fire! Sounds all kinds of exciting around there. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Here’s my chosen male and this is my last attempt. The last couple of attempts weren’t very successful, both because of how fast Scorpion Candy finishes, and because of ill-advised decisions I made about the timing of sprays.

I sprayed her today. I’ll spray her again Wednesday and again next Saturday, when I flip the entire tent. Here’s what I’m pollinating to make some fems:

The wide plant in back is a Scorpion Candy clone. She’s going to raise some S1s for me.

The one at left front is Kyle Kushman’s Strawberry Cough clone. After pollination, she’s going to make some Scorpion Cough seeds for me.

^^This is a Cap Junky clone I got from @Cannaology. It might not be the best Cap Junky out there, but it might be. It’s certainly the best one I’ve ever smoked. She’s going to make some Scorpion Junky seeds for me.
