(complete) BOG Blue Moon Rocks repro growing under a Mars FC 8000

I’d just let it go with those Blue Kush and hope one of them is a male. If the BMR vigor is poor, reversal/selfing is NOT going to fix that situation. Better to go for some possible hybrid vigor, unless the genetics are too similar. Only one way to find out.

Get clones and then go to town.

I had some really slow growing Conscious Genetics Orange Cheesecake that I didn’t keep clones of because they were so small. They kicked down huge yields, larger than other larger plants, and had much better highs than any of the plants I kept. I am bummed I didn’t keep clones. I have found that most of the runts I have dealt with seem to have better and stronger highs than more robust looking plants. I am not looking for bumper commercial harvests, though, I only grow for personal use.

My runt Sour Bubble was the best plant of the 2 harvests. That said there is slow-growing and there is this ridiculous plant, lol. At almost 2 months old it should be huge. Still going to clone it though, lol. At least it’s looking healthier.

I concur. This one is basically growing at about the speed of purple Urkle :joy:
Fingers still crossed, though.

I am curious if it will be a difficult to clone plant.

Nah, S1 males require a different chemical than selfing females, and produces all male offspring

God I really need to learn all about this stuff

Florel right?

Yes, does require a different Chemical, but no. It doesn’t give all males XY x XY = 25 % XX 50% XY 25 % YY. YY doesn’t produce seeds so what you end up with is a rough 33% female and 66% males.

Yes, it increase the ethylene production in plants which is the hormone which “controls” gender.

BMR is thirsty so feeding time. That should perk it up a bit.

I’ve never tried reversing a male, but I read reports once upon a time saying that the YY makes “super male” plants that can only contribute a Y in reproduction, thereby only making male offspring.

Interesting, but can you help me understand more?
I didn’t think the treatment changed the genetic makeup of the plant, so YY is what you start with in the male, where does the X chromosome come from?

No, males are XY, YY seeds doesn’t exist :slightly_frowning_face:

Lol! This is hilarious. I did that thing where you get something in your head that’s wrong, and then base further induction on that false premise!
Thank you for pointing it out.

Hehe no problem, I get things mixed up too. Smoker brain

Well those lower leaves still don’t make a pretty picture but new growth continues to be ok. I sense some cloning in this things future. Hoping for a female.

That is, in my eyes, a very pretty plant.

Thanks Mike, it took a ton of nursing but it is finally starting to look pretty good. I am hoping to get a tent full of clones out of it. Perhaps more BMR seeds will be found. Perhaps a Blue Kush back cross could also happen. Time will tell.
