Ah yeah, I remember now. Yeah, your buds are full of seeds.

How many females were you using? I’m doing those Space Monkey seeds and I ended up with 6 males and 3 female. I have five more beans, but I’m thinking now to maybe cull three males, and make seeds from these. If I can save pollen from these then I could run the other seeds I have to start over. I sort of have a plan with the ones growing now.

Hmm, if timing works out, maybe I can save a limb on one of these to bag and pollinate with your pollen.

The co-op group is three females and two males.

I have three OG Kush ladies in there (dusted), one Critical Plus - not part of the co-op seed run but selectively crossed to both boys and a fourth OG Kush as headstash.
The fourth (headstash) isn’t part of the Co-op run and it’s secondary purpose is to test transfer contamination as it’s supposed to be sensi.
Testing my handling protocol basically…

I’ll be really curious to see the results of that contamination test @Gpaw especially after you outlined your procedures in so much detail. Kinda feels like you should be charging tuition for this thread

Ha, yeah, pollen, the great educator. I’ve been doing the same thing since I’ve lived here, almost five years. And, I sort of let things happen for the same reason. I know more about it now. If trying to use a paint brush paint just a few buds, in the same grow room as others, every plant will have ample seeds.

I can leave a male on my small, enclosed, back porch, and the pollen will find its’ way out into the garden and the whole back yard if I leave it too long. But, I learned a lot about the males and how a full grown male will dump enough pollen to spread at least all around your yard, on you, your hair, etc. Taking extra measures to contain it and spare the whole neighborhood is a better idea. It just takes planning and specific measures to keep it isolated. It does take effort. But, well worth it when you want sensi.

I expect it to be bad, I was purposely sloppy.

When I did the Cool Runnings pollination I was treating it like a P2 lab (super paranoid) I was keeping one branch sensi on each plant.
The worst was I got 2 seeds on a sensi branch…
So this time I was a little ‘sloppier’… trying to gauge the increase in cross contamination I can get away with.
I wasn’t worried much as these males were virtually carbon copies of each other.
Judging by what I’m seeing, I will go back to my initial protocol in the future…

Yeah, I need to go back to my old ways. Treat it like the plague. I plan on finding a solution to my place this year. It basically requires a dedicated room, or two, just to keep the males, and ideally, a place that you could bring the females, and hold them a day to get dusted and eventually hosed down. @lefthandseeds has/had a cool isolation box that he can use attached gloves to penetrate the box and package pollen. Or, sort of that way if I remember right.

Too stoned to solve it now. I’m sure with a little time on the google machine you could find some good ideas. I’m sort of thinking out loud there. peace

Glad I could help! Someone on here turned me onto them originally so I’m just passing along the info. It’s funny I went to order some myself and it said “X amount bought today” and I wondered how many were OGers buying them.

Glorious!!

They can be all grouped under “citrus pine” but each is different.
There’s a sharp initial citrus (strongest for BF2, then BF1) and then a cloyingly lingering pine that has an amazing persistence.
I can smell it for hours and that’s after washing with soap and water and my nose is average at best.
These are something special… :+1:

Oooooh now you have my attention, too. It’s been a long time since I had that pine and citrus smell/taste. That sounds like stuff we were getting long ago. Pine. :yum:

Yeah me too, it was a bit of a thing back about 10 years before everything turned to sweet desert and fruit smells/flavours. That rich earthy background is similarly getting harder to find. Everything is super sweet or jet fuel atm.

Miss that piney / earthy flavor a lot as well. Stoked for these!

Since it was posted here before, I just wanted to follow up about those inkbird thermo/hygro meters: I ordered them from the seller in eBay, and they sent 6+1, so I got a freebie!
Highly recommend.

Sounds like the terps on the ghost cut :+1::grin: lemon pinesol floor cleaner with a hint of bleach , tastes more sour then she smells.

That’s it exactly!

The sticky qualities of the resin are different as well. Very ‘tacky’, high viscosity feel, like partially set adhesive.
No indication of herms either.

I’ve been wondering lately if making seed might suppress hermaphroditic tendencies…

Hey Brokehoe!

They (4) all can be described as lemon pinesol floor cleaner but each one is different.
It’s obvious to me that I should throw down a dozen and select the girl with the nicest profile to be a clone mother.
