Thanks Legs!
It’s a ‘fiddly’ setup using a light camera tripod and some homemade hardware. At least the new viewing software doesn’t randomly crash every 10 minutes.
I shouldn’t complain too much, the old S/W is 20 years old, it’s probably a miracle that it even tries to run on my computer…
Looking very nice
I would suggest a microphone stand for your microscope.
It will high it nice and form and let you set at pretty much any angle needed.
Great job so far.
I need one of those for my night vision binoculars, my hands shake a lot and it’s getting harder to keep it in focus when recording video with it. Normal camera tripods don’t alow you to sit underneath them.
@Gpaw can you post a link to the scope you purchased? Sorry if you already have and I missed it. Phenomenal shots you took there. Are you using any other lighting in those pics you took?
Ha!! It was 55$CDN not 30$… sorry… …CRAFT disease…
(Can’t Remember A F**ing Thing)
I went with this one because the resolution was high and had 4.5 stars (with 460 ratings).
Also, it had the same base as my old one so it would be easy to swap
(I modified the old base with some serious magnets).
I’ll take a picture of the “Rube Goldberg” rig I use tonight… good for laugh!
The lighting is just the main tent light and the little ring of LEDs in the scope.
I’ll work on improving that detail…
{edit} It took 3 weeks to get to me but shipping was free.
Okay here we are 7 days later and I can’t help myself grapefruit smell is calling me so this is my tester she’s very nice and tastes pretty good for only 7 days off the plant they look pretty good in the jar too.
