Yeah what’s up with that? I haven’t seen any other temple Flo journals to compare.
I dunno, his Blueberry came out totally uniform, but I was thinking this was a lot less of a refined line.
Yeah same here. Maybe @Enjoi802 can shed some love and light on this subject. He is the only one I can recall that has grown them out to ask.
This journal is the tip of the spear!
Also did some researching and talking to some people in my circle and found out for sure that my original Flo cut was grown out from a seed pack. The guy I talked too remembers it specifically. They were DJ’s seed packs. The Flo and the shishkaberry that is sadly gone from the stable. @Wuachuma
I’m gonna watch a long and see where she goes. I do believe they had a lot more variance for myself. With visible runts and mutants from the go. 🤷 Maybe you got some good luck. Maybe it was hot soil on my part. Never know now lol.
I wonder if the variation is more likely to show up in things like bud structure or aroma later down the line or if this is in fact just a super stabilized pack/fillial generation from DJ. Either or would be pretty interesting to see, plants look super healthy @Kavman pretty hyped in this one, I happened to just finish up a relisten of DJs potcast episode the other day, good shit
Thanks man. Yes the plants are healthy. At this point they have had zero stress. What I know about DJ gear is quite minimal. I have only had this Flo and a Shishkaberry both from clone. So it’s hard to say at this point when or if we will see crazy things with them. What I do know about the Flo I have is that when she gets stressed she will give you signs like the clawing and some mild variegation. So that leaf or branch or whatever remains permanently that way. It will never correct itself. So you can’t try and fix that. All you can do is not let what caused it happen again. If you try correcting it you could make things worse. If that make sense. So the more I think about your comment makes me wonder how much is just flat out environment related in this grow. Everything has been stable and mild with no big swings of temps and humidity. Hell I haven’t even given them any fertilizer other than a tiny bit of maxi crop (kelp). Though I might give them a light dose tomorrow and transplant in a few more days. I use Potters Gold soil and I love that stuff and will be using throughout the whole grow. Some of these plants have branches big enough to clone if you are good at it. Which I am or the old girl been dead long time ago lol. I wonder if @Enjoi802 has any pics he could post up on here. He is the only one who has spoken up on actually growing some out.
Wouldn’t that be huge find. Man I hope this is just that for you @Kavman
Actually Cole lots of people want the diversity so they can have more phenos to hunt for. I have a pheno (original Flo ) that I already like a lot. I just want to have seeds to find another one like her. Well maybe a little better😉
DJ says himself that he is an inclusive breeder, as opposed to being an exclusive breeder.
Inclusive breeding allows the grower/breeder to pick exactly what they want from a wide variation.
Exclusive breeding is where the breeder already discarded the genetics he thinks you dont want to zero in on one idea of what a plant should be.
So that would explain how stable and close to identical these seedlings are. Almost clone like. Cool as f*ck Man. Rock n Roll
Makes sense. He sells seeds. He can’t sell a one seed fits all. Home growers grow for what they like.
Well I will be cloning all of these and will be doing both. Inclusive for the seed run and exclusive for the hell of it. But in both cases all my personal strains will be getting dusted in both breeding styles @Wuachuma mentioned
stability crossed with your badass Flo cut could really up the game with Legs point above @Kavman
That’s really what I wanted all along. Floability stability. The Flo white widow crosses have that faster growth that I like but she is still fussy like her mom. I guess I am being a little hard on her. Here’s why. I grow more than one strain indoors and my yields are better with environmental that are out of Flo’s comfort zone. So she gets her little spot in the corner sheltered a bit or what not. If I grew just The Flo I would dial that room just how she wants it.
Edit. And that is how the seed run will be executed to what she wants.
Exciting, I’m happy for you. This is going to be killer
You gotta love a killer corner plant though, I’d heard the same about the dogwalker: sensitive to light saturation, sensitive to nutes, a good one to throw in the corner and leave alone, I’m hoping I’ve got one out of this blue tara I I’ve got in veg: slow going, but very pretty.
I gotta say I’m excited about this run! I think it’s stellar that you were able to get one of the 250 temple flow packs!!! Plus I’m really stoked about your flow cuttings. You gotta post some close up pics so I can hunt for em.
This is really an EPIC RUN!!!
If we could convince @Upstate to repo one of his rare land races , the next co-op box will be phenomenal. “Something for the Ages !!”.
Edit: None the less, with this temple flo/flo, the next box is looking great!!!
I was gifted 2 packs by @buckaroobonsai I will be doing an update tomorrow. Been super busy as of late. Between Choptober and learning a bunch of songs for a new band I joined I barely have time to mess around on here.
