(complete) Temple Flo Co-op preservation seed run

Your strain Widow Bush. Did I read its Shiskaberry and your flo cut? Parents?

Widow bush started out as a skunk Hawaiian strain from Amsterdam in the mid 90’s. It was a skunk leaner pheno. Short Christmas tree structure with sweet skunky buds. It was pollinated with feminized pollen from that shishkaberry plant that I got from the same guy I got the Flo from. From there it was used to make fem pollen and bred with a greenhouse white widow.
And now my buddy just sold his house and found 16 seeds of the widow bush that he pollinated with the same fem pollinated shishkaberry. So now that’s a back cross of shishkaberry using the same female to create the feminized pollen. I have them in solo cups as we speak and the shishkaberry is really coming through in these seedlings. I have already have a favorite of those. It wreaks of cat nip. This is gonna be great I just know it.

It should be stellar. But they are fems so no way to reproduce them in seed form without feminization unless I get some shishkaberry regular seeds. And wouldn’t you know it someone here on OG is doing a preservation run on those. So cool.

Nothing wrong with fems. A lot of peeps use them that don’t have space to run a bunch and sex.

What is your method for selective pollination?

Do you have a separate isolated grow space for these pollinations?

Kind of @zephyr. What I do is bring the plant to be pollinated into my veg room as soon as the flower room light turns on. Then I pollinate the lowest branch with a small fine haired paint brush. I also use string or something to pull that branch down and away from the rest of the plant to reduce stray pollination. I apply very little pollen to the brush to also prevent stray pollination. I leave the plant in the veg room till just before lights turn off in flower room then i flick that branch a few times to shake off any remaining pollen and that’s it. Forgot to mention that I also turn off all fans in the veg room during the pollination process. And that’s it. Works great for me. Just take your time and keep a steady hand. And be sure not to have too much in the brush.

It’s Hawaiian x white widow sourced from AMS. The mother was short and bushy with a sweet floral scent. This particular pheno is a nice blend of the two parents. Sweet floral notes mixed with some leather from the Temple Flo. I was really surprised by the structure of this one. Bean pole structure. Next one I grow will get topped to see what happens. They all were put into flower 30 days from popping above soil.
All the other crosses so far have came out like I expected. This cross did not. Can’t wait to try them all.
