I’ve tried flushing agents and didn’t notice any difference. If you want a really good flush run the water through the pots until the runoff is clear then feed straight water from then on, any saltsin the medium will be rinsed away.
Bout to go into flowering on the first… should I not feed anymore nitrogen? And do I need to do a nitrogen flush. New to using nutes . Thanks for any advice
If its brown flush it down, if its yellow let it mellow. Oh wait…I think i misunderstood the question.
In flowering period you need fewer amount of N. Flushing before flipping to 12/12 is a good practice to get rid of accumulated salts that the plant hasn’t disposed of, what kind of nutrients are you using?
Thanks. I figured I’d wanna flush before flower as well. Technaflora
I just read the other post where you say you use Foxfarms, is it a prefertilized soil? If so while doing that flush you should check the ppm’s of the runoff water to see if it is already hot and you intend to give them more nutes with Technaflora, it is better to have them hungry than a nutrient burn …
I feed veg nutes the first week of flower then switch over. I try to give all my plants a flush every couple weeks or so just to keep medium clean.
