Nope. If it were a matter of choosing one or the other, I’d pick mean tweets, but it’s not that simple. Russia was going to ignore our sanctions no matter who’s up there entertaining the reporters; and our sanctions are the reason gas prices are high. No one will buy Russian oil, even though it’s for sale, for fear of being hit by US sanctions. Trump would’ve ended up in the same boat… despite his braggadocio about being tough on Russia, when he bombed those abandoned airstrips in Syria he gave the Russian military several days’ notice to be sure they could clear out of the area first. No one wants a war beteween nuclear superpowers. Haven’t you ever seen Wargames? We might as well be playing Tic-Tac-Toe.

We’re you driving back in 07/08 . That was the highest Ives seen it get myself, it was ~$5/gal up here in the northeast. I remember when it was starting to clime, some politician made a comment about it still being less per gallon than milk , everyone else was like “you ever fill up a tank with 15gal of milk?!?”
Right now it’s just under $4 so not too far off but yea it sucks.

It’s not good bro
This is going to be very bad

I wish all our OG peace and stay safe !

When the no fly zone is put in place we will be at war

Meh. Bill Ackman says “World War III has already started,” the market swoons, and he makes $20 billion. Then we all realize WWIII started a decade ago with the invasion of Crimea and complete lack of consequence there, and that we’re going to continue fighting WWIII the same way we have been for the last decade; electronically, by attempting to defend the global financial system that’s based around the US dollar. That’s what allows us to sanction Russia and cripple their economy overnight; that’s why, despite Russian oil being the only thing out of Russia that isn’t targeted by our sanctions, people are still afraid to buy it. No one wants to be the one in the middle of a transaction when it falls under sanctions, for fear of being disconnected from the financial system.

As far as an actual war? It’s too easy to escalate and end up nuclear. We won’t be confronting Russian military, any more than they’ll be confronting American military. We’ll work through intermediaries - we’re done fighting each other through the Middle East for now, discounting Yemen which we’re not supposed to be looking closely at since it’s being invaded by our allies the Saudis, so the next theater is the natural resources required for EVs. Ukraine has those.

Actually started in 2008 with Russia invading Georgia. In the end I think Ukraine will be a festering wound and hopefully it will not spread. Sanctions will help in the rebuilding (If Russia changes leaders). A lot of Russian money now tied up in limbo.

Anyone that thinks the president has ANYTHING to do with how the government is run doesn’t understand government literally at all.
