Much like people love the like button, theyāll love the dislike even more.
When I was still active on shroomery and growery they had general rating and trade rating and people with both of those at full were who you listened to advice from and ones that were low in both were just āshit usersāā¦ However youāll get a gang mentality and someone makes a bad trade with one person or says something one doesnāt like and theyāre trust and respect gets beaten down gang style over 1 thing and the that person is doneā¦
Thatās why, when talking about things and trying to do right, I tell people reputations take lifetimes to build and seconds to destroyā¦ whether what destroys it was true or notā¦

This is what I spoke of. I watched a group of trolls join a site. They joined just to troll a member with letās say controversial methods, lol. The group sat all day liking each others posts and dropping poop emojis on those they didnāt like. In no time they looked like super stars or did at a glance till you took the time to look at their content. Itās silly and childish but itās the way things go in some cases. The only thing worse than people being hung up on likes/pips is software the letās you take away from others. Now that system is to easily abused. When you look at it we are very lucky to have this platform set up the way it is IMO.

Likes to me are a good way to connect with peeps who share some mutual interests in the cannabis life. Itās own reward. Value and reps and such are so new millenium LOL.

Unfortunately life on forums has no relevance to real world. I have met āfriendsā from the internet that I would never hang with in real life. And then there are folks that are just what you would imagine and good people.
It is why i wanted to have am OG party to meet the people I have spent time with online.
I am glad I did as everyone that showed up were people that were folks I would hang with.

Absolutely. I think thatās something most of us that are older than the internet understand, lol. There are always those who present themselves one way online but are totally different in real life. Itās a good thing for people to keep in mind. Still wish the party was in my country but who knows, maybe next year

I saw this phenomenon in the workplace early & it was disappointing but clear as day:
Damage control is priority over new business- 1 pissed off customer can take away ten in a heartbeat.
This was before the iPhone apocalypse of 2007ā¦I canāt imagine how much worse it is now.
The most instructive case for me was a hip-hop producer (the kind that think heās roughly equivalent to god or Scarface) who wanted his plain Jane bmw converted from automatic to manual trans and a supercharger. After a lot of advice against it, they wouldnāt listen, the boss couldnāt say no to big money, and the results werenāt good enough. IIRC the shop un did some work for free just to keep The Produca from telling everyone he knew. It was really lame to have to make concessions to a turd but I saw the old manās experience at work.
So old manā¦.
