Make sure to tag me. I want to watch their progress.
Those are some awesome plants to stay healthy in those small containers so long. I see the one plant is a lot different than the other. One is more columnar and one is more bushy. Is one topped and the other not or are they just different phenotypes?
I definitely will. The one more like a column takes after mom. She looked very much like that her entire time.
The other 2 are taking after dad. He split on his own and was much more of a bush.
I may have to top the one. She is already taller than mom at this point. I may take the top for a clone and hit it with some of the Colombian Red pollen later…
I am not sure how the wiki got turned off with spots open.
Has to be some special smoke that quick onset is classic .
Wow @Old-Ron how very cool of you to preserve and share, especially something requiring this level of patience and dedication.
I appreciate it @Elpolloloco. I hope to get these out to as many as possible. It was special smoke then, and still is now.
It is pretty special @ShiskaberrySavior. It was well worth the wait to me.
Wow! This was the first thing I ever got stoned on! Thank you for all that time and effort.
edit- removed my username @64 tl3 …was on already at 12.
Same here. I grew it out back in the 80s for several years. Then I lost my clone in an emergency tear down. I’ve been looking for it for more than 30 years now.
Was mine to @Herbie. One of the main reasons I try to preserve the Colombian strains first.
There is a special one I am hoping to find. I hope these bring back the early days to everyone it can.
I signed up in the open tier 2 spot even though I am level 3. If this is a problem signing up in a lower level, please remove my name or let me know so I can…
I’m pretty sure Tier 3 signing up in Tier 2 spot is just fine.
I just remember picking the seeds out of lbs of Columbian had a large ziplock 3/4 full of seed mid seventies. At least 2 solid inches of straight seeds in each lb plus all the other seed in the buds when you handled them . Lol it definitely was some good smoke though.
Signed up! Thank you
Thank you very much @Old-Ron. This is very Nice of you to pass on this incredible, priceless heirloom!
There are a lot of open spots. I found a bag that was about the same as the Canadian bag and I put it in with the Canadian bin. OPPS! So add spots.
The ones above the line have already been added to the Envelopes.
If you sigh up above the line, you will get over looked. So please read.
@ShiskaberrySavior they definitely had a lot of seeds back then. They would add seeds to the different layers they pressed before they shipped out the bricks…
Thanks @LonelyOC. I am glad to be able to share these.
Here are the 3 tester seed plants in their new home for the next 7 months
The 4th plant is my Island Daze. It is in the back left corner.
Thanks so much @Old-Ron for the chance to grow some of these out. I missed out on smoking a lot of the old legendary strains and have been trying to acquire some seeds from that time. I’ve been wanting to try the stuff that friends were smoking back in the day. Now I’ll mark this strain off that “Hope I can find” list. lol
Many thanks for doing this @Old-Ron !
Glad to do it @MoBilly. The main reason in doing it is to get them into as many hands as possible so others can enjoy the beauty of this strain.
I will be starting a thread soon on my next project of Colombian Red reproduction. Hopefully things go as well as the Gold went.
Here are the 3 survivors of the Colombian Red seeds I dropped.
If you wouldn’t mind tagging me, I’d appreciate it. I understand that growing a sativa is a different experience. I’m needing the education. lol
