Ok I’ll try that and pop fans off. I bought 2 cannatrols so I’m sorta sad they aren’t working well
Default of a 4 day dry on a cannatrol seems alarmingly fast.
I am in the camp of thought that a longer slower dry is much more important than any cure length. Obviously opinions on this one will wildly differ. The curing process is effectively a controlled decomposition, and decomposition only occurs when water is present. It’s oxidation, enzymatic, bacterial and all require water to break down the residual chlorophyll, sugars, etc. My thinking is the most progress on this process occurs when the buds are still wet and semi-wet, slowing as it achieves slightly too wet to smoke, and slowing to a crawl as it achieves smokable dryness.
I’m inclined to agree although a long cure can lead to a different nice smoke.
I agree so much that I use kind of a hybrid drying/curing system. I set up a small room at 60RH and leave them hanging as long as I feel like it.
Should I put them in jars? Doesn’t matter, still at 60. The room is one big jar. I do put them in jars eventually though.
I am curious how this boy got so big. Were you not there? Not trying to be negative. What happened?
My best cure was putting them in the jar when they weren’t dry enough. After cure for two months I threw them in the freezer though and I think that had much to do with it too.
100%. Slightly too wet is better than too dry. As long as it isn’t too wet to mold.
Didn’t go downstairs for 3 days to look
I’ll try to do a 8 day dry 8’cure next
that male looks about 4-5 weeks into flower so those 3 days wouldn’t have made much difference. Looks like you missed him for a few weeks to be completely honest
