I just call it like I see it. You’d get a lot further keeping folks as friends even when you don’t agree. To then start cussing man out for disagreeing with you makes you look an absolute cockwomble :100: but you do big fella

That’s sad. I hope you can find peace and joy outside of forums where you actively cultivate enemies.

There’s only one troll here and I guess you’re under a bridge in Texas. Sierra 4 one cowboy :cowboy_hat_face:

I don’t remember anyone asking your input here either but still you crack on  another country yes. An alternate reality… sometimes. By choice. I believe you can’t control your delusion though so I’ll leave you to your dickheady little life :kissing_heart:

To everyone else in the thread. Keep sharing the knowledge and love :green_heart:

You “water in” the Bales Day 1 -3, EACH Day thereafter, you ALSO water after applying amendments which help "break down* the Straw. By Day 10 -14, most of the HEAT is dissipated. You can literally sprout seeds in the soil mixture. Day 10 -14, I personally place my hand directly on the soil. If only warm, it’s ready. Compost Piles’ Heat can’t escape unless “turned”. For “runners” (Squash, Strawberry, etc). I’ve actually planted them in the sides of the Bale, my Garden Plot was covered by Commercial Grade Garden Cloth. I once saw a SBG on a Driveway, in a Shopping Cart, and Queen :honeybee: loved the ease of watering/harvesting. She picked a fresh Salad EVERYDAY!! Volunteered ClarificationNO, not exactly, it actually says MORE about you rather than them. Because you’re the ONLY person with a certain opinion, it doesn’t make all those who differ wrong!!! And, I personally don’t consider those who differ in their opinions/beliefs “haters”. My ego isn’t that fragile. SS/BW…mister :honeybee: :100:  :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: NOTE: To short-circuit ANY accusations, I’m NOT saying yours is, just that mine isn’t!!!

That’s pretty cool, I’ve also seen where people pile up bales to use as walls for a compost bin, then as time goes on, it becomes part of the compost.
You can also use straw to grow oyster mushrooms, they break down the straw itself. Though that would prob be a better thing to do with an extra bale that you can keep in the shade. The leftover after the mushroom grows is compost
Or dedicate some buckets for the purpose (hardwood shavings and sawdust is better but straw still yields)

Hi, This is my first try at both straw bale and cannabis gardening. To watch my seven Runtz girlz grow has been amazing so far! They should start flowering in about 2 weeks and even though they are in tomato cages, they will definitely be needing some additional bamboo stakes for support. I also have two monster cherry tomato plants in one of the bales and a watermelon vine growing on the ground off the side of a bale.

I have been using Nectar for the God’s fertilizers from my local hydroponic store. The girlz love it.

Plants look LOVELY!!, thanks for the display., continued success. SS/BW…mister :honeybee: :100:  :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Well, you want to start after the heat comes back down. During the bale prep process, while adding fertilizer I use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. Yeah, it gets up to 150 degrees or more for several days. After that the temperature drops back to just above the outdoor temperature. That’s when you want to plant.

Nice! It’d be cool to keep up with how yours are doing for comparison, especially once flowering starts.
They look great so far.

Sorry I missed the whole straw vs hay conversation lol. Forgot to log in for a few days, but yeah always use straw not hay.

Straw bale garden first grow update: Stretch for the sky and let the flowering begin! The Runtz Girlz have grown way beyond my expectations and it has been quite exciting to watch them enter this next phase of maturation. They are Runtz Women now!
