The “Province Flower” of Newfoundland! This strange flower is the carnivorous Purple Pitcher Plant, ( Sarracenia purpurea) from a bog in Gros Morne National park.
that is the most beautifully kept garden I’ve seen in a good while.
this thread is amazing and you sir are of clean mind and soul and it shows in your garden.brilliant work!!!
i am partial to the purple flowers and those are gorgeous. they all are though. i can’t wait to get out to the farm and start taking care of the landscape again.
Got some good shots of bees on my flowers this morning. Here’s some wild bergamot that is gradually taking over our front yard. I only ever see these black winged bees on these flowers. No idea where they come from, but they absolutely love this stuff!
Papaver Somniferum, the cause of so much misery in this world, but also one of my favorite flowers. Never actually done opium or any of its associated alkaloids though. I just like growing it, and the bees love it too! This little guy with red eyes was super cool to see.
