After a week or two of bad weather, I thought it would be nice to take a break, get out of the house, and spend some time with the Queen 
. I know…strange!!! So we decided to go check on my friend’s Apple Orchard. We drove the 15 miles, approached the Orchard, and as far as the eyes could see, a Carpet of Apples!!! I saw my guy, got out, asked him WT# happened. He said they got THREE days of Rain and howling Winds, not much breakage, but MORE apple-loss on the upper end of the Plot. He thought it might take his crew about two DAYS to salvage what he could for Resale, and Juice the rest. He really wouldn’t know UNTIL they remove the downed ones. I told him to keep me posted, I would volunteer to help in THE task. He stated he might want to ask my assistance in maybe doing an Apple GIVEAWAY. I never turn down a friend in need, plus the Queen makes a GREAT Apple Pie!!! Gotta go, somebody just delivered a truckload of Bushel Baskets. SS/BW…mister

Dang Skippy they were. Roy Clark is one of the best pickers to ever pluck a string. And they always had great guests too. Glenn Campbell could really play. That was some fast picking, that guy could do.
And corny as the jokes were, I bet you remember some of the ongoing skits. Like Hey Grampaw, What’s Fer Supper? And all the lazy old guys hanging out on the porch with their coon dogs and hot babes!!! Those were the days!
