Here, this should help everyone!
One of my favorite channels.
My take is if you aren’t throwing it out or giving it away you aren’t growing enough
I tried to do garlic in a few pots last year and the squirrels dug it up lol.
Just helping old gardeners…
Sometimes they plant in a better place
I think they just disagreed with my planting choice and thought those pots needed nuts planted.
Squirrels like daffodils
You guys got me convinced to plant some garlic. Gonna load up a 30 gal bucket with some. What are some good varieties to look for? Might check my local feed stores.
Ive been reading up on the hardneck varieties. porcelain, purple stripe, music. Those are some good ones hardneck have the best flavor i believe.
Martha Stewart says her favorite is red ichilium and that’s a soft neck. I grow elephant garlic I don’t think it’s a hard neck? Never seen scapes
Ive had elephant… nice cloves… but very mild. I wanna know Im eating garlic.
Very mild indeed. Excited for my new variety batch
I’ll be doing Chesnok Red, French Rocambole, Music, Vietnamese Red, Inchelium Red, and Italian Late whenever I get around to it. Probably have to be next year.
Elephant garlic isn’t actually garlic, no? It’s leeks I think.
Nice lineup.
Leeks are tasty😁 garlic dream team
My local farm got back to me. I ordered 1.25 lbs of music garlic. 1.25 killarney red. And 1.25 lbs of carpathian. Not the ones particularly i was looking for. But im glad they are locally sourced.
I misread that it was garlic its not, i just placed a order for some hardneck varieties for the beds.
I’ll be ordering some the next couple days. what were you looking for? (think I know )
Porcelain and purple stripe. Were 2 i couldnt find
