@Jetdro Thank you very much for sharing, these are very healthy and nice formation, cannot wait to see more
Fresh from the oven! The female these came from is most likely the only plant of this particular strain in the USA. I had been looking for the right Male to make seeds with, and it was a no brainer when I saw @50State’s grow log and saw his Orange Goji. Then, checking his “work”, I knew the looking was over.
The 2 parents are going to combine into something very special. NOT like me, I mean good special! Amnesia Haze is just so different than anything else I have ever grown or seen. Her whole smell/taste profile is just different. Her smoke is astounding, and had I only ONE strain to ever grow…no question it is her. The taste and smell is pleasing to the sense’s and so is physical appearance. She pretty much rules in my book.
Just got lucky on the Orange Goji…I am a seasoned smoker, lol, and have a high tolerance. Just put out a joint I rolled of early larf off of Razor, an OG I have in flower. Smoked 1/4 of it, and Im LIT! Hard to do this, so Im gonna stop and enjoy my buzz . Point is, the OG is bringing something to the cross too, which is really cool. When I started looking for something to cross her to, I wanted something that would leave her mostly alone, and let the Haze shine through, not cloud up the mix. The Orange Goji is gonna bring a big smile to everyone"s face. I know she is made with SSDD, which is suppose to have this great up lifting daytime clean clear high…I would not know as although I have maybe 150 seeds of her, none will open LMAO, and I have never grown nor smoked her.
Hey 50, could you please drop something in here about exactly how you made OG and the Mom/Dad’s involved so I shall have record of it. Go as far back as you can. You may use more than 12 words…
Damn, Im ripped and in a good mood…gonna go run the GSD’s in the flooded field behind me on my Ebike.
We have had over 50 inch’s …yup, not a typo, but over FOUR FEET of rain in 3 or 4 days time. Gona see if there is an Arc anywhere about…
Okay well the Orange Goji is a cross I made using two Bodhi Strains the a Goji OG mom and a Orange Sunshine male.
Bodhis Orange Sunshine is Cali O x SunShine DayDream male, can’t say much about the Cali O ae77 but the SSDD is Bubbashine x H&L Appalachia male. Bubbashine is Bubba Kush x Blue Moonshine and Appy is Green Crack x Tres Dawg. The Orange Sunshine male chosen matched my #2 female in structure and growth and stock rub had an orange gum smell, cuttings rooted very quickly. This male was used for making F2s also. Edit forgot to mention this male was the first of the males to produce orange terps on the stock rub.
Bodhis Goji OG is Nepali OG x Snow Lotus male. Can’t say much about Nepali OG and Snow Lotus is Afgooey x Blockhead. Afgooey is Afghan x Maui and Blockhead is something crossed the sweet tooth. The Goji OG mother I used had good vigour cloned well it tastes and smells like sweet earthy berry black liquorish was heavy hitting dense nugs solid yield 4 plus ounces in a 3 gallon cloth pot finished in 10 to 11 weeks.
Your records should be happy now lol
Thank you @50state !!!
Well, 8 inch’s yesterday, more coming today…was time…saved some of my outdoor harvest.
Been at it since 6 am washing filthy ass Buds. Filled a kiddie pool, threw away MORE…ARGH!!!
It is what it is…least it was not a total loss. Would have been had I let them go a few more days.
5 or 6 plants still left, but only Orange Goji is what I would say healthy.
Keepin an eye on her, any signs of rot she is coming down, she has too much bud to lose on her already
Peace,
A disgusted Jet!
Fucking sucks, Jet. You press forward and through! Good to have the Goji cheering you on!
18 days in on flower room 2, could not be happier with what I am seeing. Branch’s are 100% stronger , plants very happy, but getting crowded!
Flower room 1 day 57, Silver Fields is almost done already. Since I stopped spraying, the scent is becoming STRONG!!! Amnesia Haze is almost too sweet to smell. She will lose some in the dry/cure thank God!!! She is a stinky girl in flower…probably always was but the mite spray kept it from coming out…
9 day Amnesia Haze cuts looking much better than nay set before has…the Mom is getting healthy, and the cuts should be starting to root easier.
The 10 holes “filled” with coco in the cloner tray are filled with 10 FRESH seeds of OGHA…just to see if 1 day old seeds can pop. Soaked them for 18 hours, all of them sank, so should be interesting to see if they germ . No dome, no heat mat, hopefully a few pop up…if they do, they WILL BE RUN!!!
Peace,
Jet
Updates on Ak47 and cross?
All 6 doing well. 2 early to start flowering, fat leaf one still not yet. Different stretch on the 6, across the board.
2 appear the same…
They are getting crowded out of the light by A.H. and OG. Was gonna put them outside but since Noah is due here any day, that may not happen.
Thinking I shall let them suffer a bit more in low light where they are, and when Flower room 1 comes down in 2 weeks time they can go in there and get full on HPS for a change.
IF you would like I can shot some pics of them…just not real photogenic yet as they live on the outside line of the light.
I’ve got a dilemma, I got some s1 BK from Ghost and CSI that are tough to crack any ideas other than sanding the edges and crackin with hemostats?
Would like to get these ran.
I have never “hand cracked” one…for the tough ones, this is what I do:
Place in a small match box with a little piece of sandpaper glued to the bottom of the match box . Place seed in there, shake it around really good, really good. Then they go swimming in tap water for 18 hours before I plant them .
If that does not work, I ditch them.
There are “product’s” out there designed for this purpose, but I have never tried one myself. “Scaring” the seed will usually work. By products I mean a “soak” that is suppose to help .
- PRE-SOAK WITH SUPPLEMENTED WATER
As cannabis seeds age, their protective outer shell hardens and prevents water from passing through. Unless the tiny, dormant embryo that lives inside the shell detects moisture, it doesn’t know that the conditions are right to sprout. As a first step, pre-soak your old cannabis seeds for about 12 hours to see if that does the trick.
To improve your chances, use carbonated water and/or add one of these supplements that help with water absorption. Fulvic acid and most boosters also give your seeds a light dose of nutrients.
Fulvic acid
Germination booster
Hydrogen peroxide
Gibberellic acid
Keep the water warm, but not too hot. Aim for around 22°C. Avoid direct sunlight, and keep an eye on the glass. Do not soak seeds for prolonged periods, more than 24 hours can deprive them of oxygen and make them drown.

2. SCARIFICATION
Scarification, or scuffing the shell, can also help water pass through an older seed’s tough outer shell.
To scarify your seeds, line a matchbox or other small container with sandpaper. Drop the seeds inside, shake vigorously for 30–60 seconds, then remove. You may not notice much of a difference, but the small micro-abrasions are sometimes enough to let water breach the shell and trigger germination.
SCARIFICATION
3. REMOVE THE RIDGE
The seed’s shell is made up of two pieces, with a seam going all around. The side that’s raised more than the other is the ridge. A hardened ridge can make it difficult for the seed to open. To remove the ridge, run a sharp blade along the ridge on both sides. Handle gently and it should come off without damaging the inside of the seed.
Removing the ridge not only makes it easier for the seed to open, it helps with water absorption.
REMOVE THE RIDGE
4. SLICE THE SEED
In a life or death situation, surgery may be the only option. Meaning—only do this if nothing else has worked because this technique ruins as many seeds as it saves.
Remove the seeds from any moisture and allow them to dry out completely.
Use a sterile scalpel to slice into the seed at the seam and open it slightly.
Try to germinate it again.
SLICE THE SEED
THINGS TO REMEMBER
If you’re going to keep seeds more than a year or two, proper storage will dramatically increase the chances of late-stage germination. Place them in an airtight container. Put the container in a refrigerator set at 6–8°C with 20–30% relative humidity. If excess moisture is a concern, add silica gel packs to the container.
As you proceed through these steps, the risk of damaging your seeds past the point of recovery increases. Between each suggestion, give them a few days to a week to germinate. Allow the outside to dry each time to prevent rot. Do not try all or multiple techniques at once.
In the future, consider growing your seeds before they get a chance to get old. They’re not cheap, so letting them go bad is a waste in all kind of ways.
I hope they pop for ya man, really interested in seeing your new cross in action
You shall see it!
Seeds supposedly need a few weeks to “dry” …they are certainly viable from looking at them, so while the others “dry” I thought I would try this. Had 10 I could spare.
Just dying to see what comes of this cross, thinking it was a match made in Heaven.
Your ratio of germination will get better as the seeds get more a bit more dry.
Went from 100% no show one week to 100% germ rate 4weeks later.
Bummer…was hoping these would pop…did not hurt to try however.
I suppose we shall see. 50state told me he used fresh seeds and got some to pop, so there is hope!
Yeah I know about all them other ways of helping to germ, just thought you might have something I ain’t heard of before.
It’s a shame it was foundation stock, some real gems.
Some of the same stuff Katsu got a hold of to restart.
NOPE, that is all I know about it, have not had many that old that would not pop.
Still say sandpaper rough, then 18 hour swim…
It’s not that they’re old, was told up front when they gave them to me, that they were tough to get germed because they were thick shelled.
Then matchbox scuff and 18 hour swim should do it…
WHAT R U going to do???
WTFK’s I’ll figure something out
