Gotta good water only recipe? hlp pls šŸ™‚

Made by MIgardener. the ratios got updated since this video, something to do with fertilizer labeling laws for anything thatā€™s time release, or something.

He does share a simplified diy version on his peppers in containers video, equal parts Green sand, blood and bone meal. Then add other amendments and microbes to your soil if you wanted.
This is the back of the pack I got, then his website/blog has a table for more specific vegetables/plants and when to feed again.

Sorry if this whole post sounded like a commercial lol, I just like his channel and I figured I give his fert a try, and all my plants have responded well over the Dyna-grow I was using before. Itā€™s just so easy to use too.

Uhhh. I see how it is lol. My miniscule cups dont make the cut.:sob: I enjoyed the solo cuo grows. I learned that large amount of medium dont always even get used.

We were pulling a solid dried oz from a solo as long as you feed that fucker five times a day. :rofl: Hahahaha. Back in the day rule of thumb used to be a foot per gallon in a pot. I donā€™t think thatā€™s the case anymore.

Now if I had some small last flood tables like six inches off the floor and put those Solo cups inside of those little flood tables man they would have been really fucking sweet. What about @Palindrome That dude has racks and racks of fucking 9-10 inch plants that are lunkers! Thats getting it in!

Hope your doing well @Olbrannon Be safe sir.:blush::v:

So here we are a little more than a month or so laterā€¦
Buds look great butā€¦

White Widow, Power Punch, Blueberry Cough, (47 days into flower) and Blueberry x bagseed.(35 days in)
About 3 weeks to go. I used Subā€™s recipe in 3 gal air pots about half full of supersoil half Sunshine mix #4. Not sure if this is toxicity or deficiency feel free to chime in. Iā€™m going to try planting directly into these buckets again on the next round to rule out toxicity.
:dash::dash::sunglasses::v:
Edit: Blueberry x bagseed is now extinct. 35 days in and in this hot soil thew nanners already. Trying to simplify not make more work so i decided to cull them all.

Did this happen right after transplant? If it did the soil was too hot. Perhaps it didnā€™t properly cook? Thereā€™s no way it could be a nutrient deficiency after transplanting in fresh soil. Looks a bit like potassium deficiency though.

Yes that was my thinking and yes it was more or less right after transplant the leaves started turning shortly thereafter. made some nice looking buds but I canā€™t imagine how good they would have been had they not been overdosed on something.

It happened to me this summer. Up potted Durban into stronger soil and they rooted before showing symptoms. Takes a week. I hope the buds were still good for you!

Thanksā€¦ Buds look great they only have about a week to go. So no loss i think. Grow and learn

Where do ya all get your microbes from?

This is honestly the only product Iā€™ve ever used and noticed a huge difference in days but I believe that it is dependent on the health of your soil before you use this as well. I bought the concentrated flavor for $45 250mls. MIICROBIAL MASS only needs to be applied once every two weeks at .5mls/litre. First & last application rates are at 0.25ml/L
ā€œI thinkā€ if you use at least 15% earthworm castings in your soil mix should have a relatively good microbial diversity.

@Canofbusjoe

What Iā€™m currently using is this;

Soil:
HP Promix Mycorrhizae
HP Promix Seed Starter
Both soils mixed together.

Added DynomycoC Inoculant

Nutrients:
Gaia green 444 all purpose (2 tbsp per 1gal)
Gaia green 284 Flowering (2 tbsp per 1gal)
Gaia Green Worm Castings (2 tbsp per 1gal)

This is what my current mix isā€¦ But someone pointed out to me that I still need Microbes in order for this all to work together properly

Link to where to get the product your suggestion please?

You have all the microbes you need in that mix you donā€™t need to add anymore I would increase the earthworm castings to about 15% total volume and add some more aeration. I use pearlite, I would prefer to use rice hulls but havenā€™t found a local source yet.

@Canofbusjoe Seriously? Thatā€™s honestly what I thought to start with, but my mentor thought differentlyā€¦
I really thought the Mycorrhizae from the HP Promix Soil and Dynomyco would have been enough microbial life to get everything kickstarted and just top dress with Gaia Green products every 3weeks till harvestā€¦ like I did the last 3 grows.

Iā€™m no expert by any means and Iā€™m still learning but if you look at the top of this thread thereā€™s some very minimal recipes that Iā€™m sure work excellent. keep your soil moist but not wet if it dries completely out your microbial life will die off

If I hadnā€™t already bought the huge list of ingredients, I would use the recipe in the second post of this thread first and start from there.

I donā€™t know how to link the post but here it is

Base Mix
7.5 gallons of peat moss
4.5 gallons of perlite
3 gallons of fresh EWC
2.5 cups of dolomite lime

Ammend with
2 cups bone meal
1 cup blood meal
1 cup kelp meal

Makes two cubic feet. Save a little of the base mix for clones and seedlings.

This is only an enhancer OR actually a bottle of microbes? Does it list specific species of microbes?
