Thanks Doug…my wifes been making candy apples for as long as I can remember. We used to throw them away as a kid because “they probably had razor blades in them”. Which turned out to be an old wives tale that never happened. Kids in the neighborhood start asking me in July and August if we’re having candy apples this year. We have chocolate bars for those who don’t want them…which usually turns out to be 2 or 3 kids.
Go figure.
Candy apples, that’s awesome. That’s an amazing treat for the kids.
The one thing I miss being in such a remote area is no kids coming for trick or treat. We’ve been here over 20 years and never had a visitor for Halloween. The mall in the nearest big town does candy giveaways and costume contests so we took our kids there and to the church where they did it in the parking lot from the trunks of cars.
It was a huge thing in DC when I was a kid with people ringing the door bell so often we’d just sit outside most of the night passing out the candy.
Still psssing out candy but here we are this year.
Same here, but the town donates candy to the people around the town green, our most populated area, and the kids all go down there. It’s nice, the volunteer FD comes out with a truck, same with our town cop, it’s a nice evening.
People are just bypassing my house. Haha Had one kid and a teenager. Going to be stuck with a bunch of candy.
at the school the other day. when i took it he asked to see it, then adjusted the parts where the camo is sticking out.
Man that is a lot of work setting all that up.

Hey there OGers. I was about to toss up a thread for Halloween but realized, I already have one, lol. You all getting excited like I am? What you got going on this year? Did you pick up lot’s of candy for the kids? I just came home with my load for them, going to be a great year.
I’ll go grab some drinks and more candy tomorrow. This is a big bowl. Threw a jigger/double jigger next to it for comparison.

100%, there will be video. Everything will get set up Thursday and torn down the same day when the kids stop coming.
