Hash Porn! Post your Concentrates!

Looks like enough for a small army to get high or a reg stoner a couple days ! Sure is tasty bet it smells nice too.

Yes, that will last me a long time. I do not dab much anymore, lost interest, but I love to “coat” my joints with this.
It tastes very nice. In person, in the sunlight, it looks like root beer color with gold streaks in it!

First extraction ever. NL branch that snapped, about 3g pressed at 210F for 190 seconds in a 90ug bag, probably around 700PSI IDK my press doesn’t have a pressure reading.

Hi everyone! Here’s my first go at old school black hash. I haven’t seen any since my 20s and am happy to say i got several different grades but they all smoke awesome.

Also - happy to be back - I was online when the original site shut down many moons ago

I’ve got a hash concept I want to run by you aficionados.

It’s based on a post using this technique:

BUT instead of a vibrating tumbler, I make an attachment and hook up my jigsaw to a loop around the buckets to shake them. Should be okay, right?

Then, I was thinking to press out rosin with something like this:

or this:

I have never dabbed, but I’m curious about it, and can’t bring myself to pay dispensary prices.

Those presses look good but if you’ve never dabbed before I’d pick up a gram and try it out before investing in gear.

Regarding your shaker - I think your idea will work but the jigsaw might be difficult to control shaking speed.

You really don’t want to shake too hard so here’s an idea. Take a bucket, fill with flower, securely attach a micron screen of your choice and shake gently for a bit

Very good idea @Foreigner ! I’m debating whether the press is necessary for me. I just want to cut down on the amount of flower I smoke, while still getting the benefits. Before people jump on me, yes I also make edibles.

It’s a fairly deluxe bosch with multiple speed and oscillation settings. It doesn’t have a lock, though, so if I need to shake it for a long time at low speeds I could just zip tie the trigger.

I’ve seen the dry-ice bag shaker technique, too, but I don’t really need super-clean extract if it’s going to get pressed. I’ll definitely try this first, though.

If you want to press a little rosin just for fun then get a hair straightener and some parchment and shoot for around 200f and press as hard as you can.

I used to make dry sift with an embroidery hoop, some micro screen, and a little rubbing.

Speed settings will help a lot. I wouldn’t consider making bubble without a variable torque drill.

Neither of those press’s will make you happy if it turns out you like Rosin. Both have low pressures for pressing.
I use a low end press with 1 ton of pressure, and would suggest that would be the absolute lowest you would want to go.
I want more pressure and will end up taking my plates and the heaters from this rig and put them on a Harbor Freight 100 buck 10 ton or so press.

As above, get a cheap hair press and make a bit of rosin to sample. Rosin is very strong, not something to smoke all day long, and not everyone likes it…ok, almost everyone likes it…lol.

The hair press is a PIA but you can see if you like it, best way to start off. Spend 30 bucks or so to see if you like it. IF so, then you can either build your own press or spend 400-500 bucks for a decent built one.

i will concour about the low pressure of those, im running a “roux” screw style press at the moment and my next upgrade is definitely going hydraulic and probably 4x6 plates as the more i can press at once the better, but will be diy setup… in time though in time.

Im just gonna remove my 3 inch round plates and heater setup and bolt it up to a Harbor Freight piece:

I’d go this route, too, but I don’t have spare space for a big press.

It’s got be small or not at all, for me.

So I’m new to dabbing and like diy stuff. I made up a set of plates (try youtube greengenes diy plates) and used my existing bench vise - it worked well but was a 4 hand operation so bought a 10 ton press. Holy crap batman it’s cool. I have not smoked a bowl in weeks. It’s been cool playing with it, I have jars of my experiments all over - it ranges from sap to shatter like, to butter, to a crumbling cake. Mostly I’ve been pressing 11 grams (including the bag) bottle techs and getting about 3 +/- grams per press. GG4 crumbley cake knocks me on my ass.

Ended up with the strongway press and do not regret the press purchase.

Cost a bit more though.

So you bought the small a frame one I posted??? Then replaced the jack for 35???
So 110 bucks into the frame.

How does it work, does it press down evenly over your plates?? My 1 ton arbor needs an upgrade

Works great, I sometimes have to adjust it. I think it will work perfect with your 3" plates. Min are 2.5" square plates.

Oh and dont forget your 20% Harbor Freight coupon!
