I’d go this route, too, but I don’t have spare space for a big press.

It’s got be small or not at all, for me.

So I’m new to dabbing and like diy stuff. I made up a set of plates (try youtube greengenes diy plates) and used my existing bench vise - it worked well but was a 4 hand operation so bought a 10 ton press. Holy crap batman it’s cool. I have not smoked a bowl in weeks. It’s been cool playing with it, I have jars of my experiments all over - it ranges from sap to shatter like, to butter, to a crumbling cake. Mostly I’ve been pressing 11 grams (including the bag) bottle techs and getting about 3 +/- grams per press. GG4 crumbley cake knocks me on my ass.

Ended up with the strongway press and do not regret the press purchase.

Cost a bit more though.

That’s what I bought, just so you know the jack is a POS. I replaced mine with a quality one from NAPA. :+1::seedling:

So you bought the small a frame one I posted??? Then replaced the jack for 35???
So 110 bucks into the frame.

How does it work, does it press down evenly over your plates?? My 1 ton arbor needs an upgrade

Works great, I sometimes have to adjust it. I think it will work perfect with your 3" plates. Min are 2.5" square plates.

Oh and dont forget your 20% Harbor Freight coupon!

I’ve been using a DabPress dp-bj3t33 3 ton hydraulic with 3x3 plates for over a year. They don’t even sell it anymore, looks like it has an updated 4-ton jack on it now. Anywho, this little guy is a beast. It claims 7-10g but I regularly press 14g each round with great yields. You just need the slightly larger pre-press mold and bigger bags.

160um bags, 210F, the highest I ever yielded was 25% return on some cookies strain. Well last night was a pleasant surprise as I had my best yields on some newly dried Black Triangle buds. I put in 14g and got back 4.1 grams for a whopping 29% of light gold jelly! I squished 2oz and all 4 pressings had the same return. Smoked some with wifey and we were stoned to the bone for hours. Delicious kush taste on the exhale. We like using the bong and the Yocan Torch makes it such a fun and easy way to do it.

Yocan Torch, I’d sure like to find one of those for sale but everybody seems to be out of stock.

I see that now. Damn shame, it’s such a great product. Just a standard dual quartz rod atomizer and battery but the body is simply routed for bong use.

Here’s one in Canada…With exchange, it should be fairly cheap…If you can’t get it shipped to the USA, I can help you out…
