have a thirty five gallon container of used soil which has been filled with approximately twenty eight gallons of soil and three of home made biochar and two peat moss.
I have numerous amendments to add, and work compost and rabbit manure I can add as well as some horse manure. How much of each do I add?
I have azomite, alfalfa meal, blood meal, neem cake, powdered kelp, AgLime, diatomaceous earth, bonemeal…oyster shell…
Seems like all you need to do is mix.
Probably equal amounts of all amendments will be fine, altogether no more than 1/3rd of the total soil. 1/3rd manure, 1/3rd soil. Perhaps less manure, depends how rich or poor the soil is. Add a load of worms too. Topdress with grassclippings, tree leaves and sow vetch for nitrogen.
Perhaps also a mix of clover and different herbs to confuse pests.
The more different plants you got growing in your soil simultaneously, the better.
Check the prices of ground hempseeds, last time I checked it was about the same price as alfalfa and seaweed.
Throwing in a bunch of spoiled bananas is great for potassium and phosphorus.
Dandelion, horsetail, thistle, nettle, etc for extra cheap minerals. I topdress with that.
Imma need to add my perlite…forgot about that.
Here is mine…
