Do you think making a little starter area of promix hp for the seedling on to of perlite mix to start would work?
Or would it eventually make its way to the rez

Lots of different ways to grow a plant LZ you just need to work out what works best for you.

Roots will block it sometimes too, once they really start filling the res. You can just use a chopstick or something to poke it open if that happens.

Good to know, promix is much easier to start a seed then in RW. At least for this noob.

I’ve been singing root riot praises all week, so I’ll sing here too.
Start that lady in a root riot or … Shit, there’s another brand I can’t think of the name. Either one works, they don’t hold water like rock wool, and they do hold together and won’t get in your rez.
I love kratky for quicker vegetables, lettuce specifically. There is an army of mason jars of lettuce in my home. For anything bigger than a pepper, I go to DWC. If you decide to try DWC, be sure to share you grow journal with me. I love to watch the monsters people grow!
