Thanks for the kind words guys, I really appreciate it!

Oh my bad, I must’ve dropped these on the way last night

Flower Day 58

Definitely! On the lowers of the Bubba Kush too

Really impressed with this cut. Dude did a fantastic job on selection. I haven’t even smoked any yet and I’m sure she’s not gonna be going anywhere for a long long time :yum:

Skunk Tangerine

OG Kush

I did the take the tops of one of these last night, left the lowers to fatten up. Need some for sure daytime herb  Have 2.3 OG Kush left. I figure take the tops of the next one and the lowers of the first one at 9 weeks, then do the same for the last one at 10 weeks, harvesting the lowers of the last one at 11 weeks which should be one week shy of the Skunk Tangerine takedown time.

It did however, let me get a better shot of the Black River OG #3 girl

Early sample on her says she deletes my back pain. She doesn’t melt it like the SSDD does with the warm blanket effect. I plain just don’t feel it anymore. Also, total daytime effects which I was not expecting at all considering the lineage. Again tho, 7.5 week sample vs the 9-10 weeks she’s gonna need to go to finish up, so I’m sure things will change, but :star_struck:

Can definitely see the skunk in that ST, the BROG looks absolutely killer, she’s throwing down too! Niiice! Great strain choice there bro!!for real, remind me which OG cut again (Josh D? ) she reminds me SOOO MUCH of the cut we held for years and years in the early 2000’s , spitting image for sure, even that unique fade…… it’s uncanny

Yeah the Skunk Tangy is throwing down. Starting to get the armpit skunky smell but definitely the tangerine too. Not a fan of the armpit smell :joy:

The BROG looks and smells so dank! Makes me wish I ran 3 of her and 3 of the Bubba to fill this tent up  Maybe later :yum: She’s fucking loud still too! Louder than the Skunk Tangerine by far! Like 2x at least. Pixie stick with some earthy OG coming in on the back half

That’s pretty interesting  The lineage of this “OG Kush” cut is :man_shrugging: totally up in the air really. @Jackattack knows the most about it. I know it can be 100% traced back to the ~mid-90s for sure but don’t really know much more than that. If I remember right, it was passed as just ‘Kush’, or ‘The Kush’. Not necessarily ‘OG Kush’. That’s about all I got.

My personal opinion from growing it and comparing it to the HPK/Tahoe/TK/Ghost/Chem91/BubbaKush is that it’s an S1 of the Matt Berger Bubba Kush cut. Leaf morphology and overall plant and stem structure are most similar to the Bubba Kush cut by a huge margin, but with even less stretch than the Bubba, which stretches less than the HPK/Tahoe/TK/Ghost/Chem91. It also carries some narcotic and pain relieving effects just like the Bubba Kush does. The TK/Ghost/etc do not. It also looks and grows absolutely nothing like the HPK/Tahoe/TK/Ghost or even the Chem91, so I don’t believe its the Josh D or Original OG Kush cut. Those are supposed to look extremely similar to the TK/Ghost. Even the Chem91 is said to structurally look extremely close to OG and she does, Chem 91 looks like she came out of the same bag as the TK did. I’d be hard pressed to believe they didn’t.

It was given to me from a very old school grower. Vietnam veteran. He actually called it “the og” not the kush. As far as i know its legit old school og kush. Hard to mistake that smell and fade

Ya 91 and TK are identical in Veg , if you mixed up labels you’d never know, Tahoe stands out with colour . That deep , shiny green leaf colour and the deeper serrations. Now I’m very curious about that one. I actually plan to run an entire old school OG tent once I can find/source the last few I need , Louis xiii, SfV, Josh D. Even if just for nostalgia sake as that’s the majority of what I smoked in the 2000’s even late 90’s too once I found THE :electric_plug:

I remember asking you about it on your thread now in fact, very cool @Jackattack

Ah, I must’ve misremembered the name, strange  but noted now, thanks for that! :+1:

I just don’t see how you could go from this plant to anything modernly called OG Kush. I could 1000% see getting this plant from an S1 of Bubba, but not an S1 of anything else. If it was the original, its pre-joshd/organkid and it’d need some kind of really dominant outcross for the OG’s to grow how they do  idk… Doesn’t really matter lol but that’s what I got.

I hear ya, just clarifing the story. Im honestly not too concerned with the name… i dont breed or sell so its all just medicine for me. That smell definitely takes me back to the late 90s nyc scene. It was all og kush, diesel and piff back in the day. Good times. I still miss that super floral piffy

Hell yeah! And I definitely appreciate the clarification :slightly_smiling_face:

Just so I am clear on what you are reporting. BROG #3, your early samples are the ones you said deleted your back pain?
