@Zanzibar Your plants look impressive, especially for this time of year. Did you have to use any supplemental lighting? Have you sampled any?

Hola, @PineTarBastard
Thanks for stopping by. I live in the semi-arid desert… it’s all about that. We have two solid grow seasons a year :: August thru December, and January thru May. IF you wanna kick yourself in the nuts, then you can grow during the hottest times of the year - May thru Oct (see above at the start).
To grow in the Winter you will start your seedlings and veg stage with supplimental lights or indoor, then bring out when you want flower to commence.
I hope that makes sense.
I’ve been harvesting, yes.
Shit’s still curing tho. Oh, but I have been smoking some of the GushMints x Lost Skunk, and LimeHead x Lost Skunk, and I’m very happy with those. But the Benzina and Banana Gushers just got cut down a coulple of weeks ago. I still have a Gush Mints up, such a great plant

and it looks like my Mulanje Gold has started to reveg, which is really crazy

@Zanzibar Are the Mulanje still going?

Lolz, yes. I just let it go. It’s, the buds have dried on the plant and it’s now pretty much revegged. The base stalk is really thick compared to it’s size/height. I’ll snap a pic in the morning and post it. I think I’ll just let it keep going and then harvest in the fall. It re-vegged before the flowers were totally ripe and so here I am

Mulanje Gold re-veg

She’s looking great! Looks like she’s just getting started. I bet she gets 15 feet tall with 8-10 foot branches.

Would you suggest cutting off the dried or moldy bud on the re-veg before it affects the rest of the plant. I have one or two plants now I believe are re-vegging. The big one started to dry up a little bit towards the bottom, but with all the rain I been getting in the past 3 days now it seems to be molding only towards the bottom. The top is still green with new growth daily. Should I, (A) try and save her by chopping off all dry/moldy parts and pray she continues on her journey or (B) consider it a loss, pull her and save what bud I can. I don’t have pics of her but I’ll take some in the morning, if it isn’t raining again smh. I’ve been wanting to update my grow journal but can’t get to take pics with all the rain and on top of that my plants are droopy looking because of it. So I want them to perk back up before taking pics also. I will take pics of the re-veg in the morning, so someone can help me better diagnose a solution between A and B or if there’s another option I haven’t thought of.

Good morning all, here are the pics of the re-veg as promised. The mold seems to have taken over the bottom in that short amount of time but doesn’t seem to have any affect on the top portion (for now). Option B doesn’t sound so plausible now.

How would you fellow OG’ers handle the situation? Thanks in advance for all assistance.

Hello @ManyManySpliffs
Interesting you should ask this as last night I was in the garden and noticed all the bud on the Mulanje Gold had dried to a crisp. I wrapped my hand around each stalk and pulled it up. The dried bud just fell away in crispy fragments. I then sprayed the plant with water from the hose to wash anything left. This is the condition for where I live - hot and dry. We won’t have any rain for at least a month from now. It’s the dry/hot season here. You are in a very different climate. I’d suggest cutting off as much of the flower as possible. The revenged parts are already established and doing their thing. Someone else might chime in here, but you also might find more responses in a thread that has more people familiar with your environment. Cool plants you have, and I think they’ll be fine, but that me saying from a place that rarely has mold issues

Agreed , I would spray it down with peroxide on the mold . I might trim it or leave it if it’s too thick to work on. All that dead stuff will fall away in a few weeks and that plant is already growing.
