Take a pair of pliers. Wrap the individual jaws in electrical tape, and use that to gently crush the membrane and bend it over. That’s how I’ve always supercropped. They make a tool just like that for it but I’m cheap lol.
Some potassium silicate will make training easier
A little goes a long way
I’m sure you already have multiple pairs of pliers. All it takes is 1¢ worth of electrical tape lol. Why spend $20 USD ($26 CAD) when you can make it for literally a penny lol.
Small gauge engine vacuum hose works too.
It will work, just take some pliers and squeeze the main stem, it doesn’t matter what strain it is…heres pix of the stalk I bent, I used a zip tie preventing it to right itself and the main top grew like the side branches bromigos.
Am I the only one who still uses this style plyers They have yet to find a stem they can’t crush and are already padded.
Its what use all the time because I don’t let my plants get too big before I pinch and bend…if you have a 3ft. plant u’ll have to use pliers.
I’ve been trying yhat out and although I only did it with side branches it definitely worked and look forward to having it in my back pocket for plants that are tall but I
Nah, just squeeze harder
Dude is that a coin???
LOL, yeah
I’m suddenly slightly afraid of you lol. You Canadians are built different. I think I found your American doppelgänger
Now I wanna see you bend a couple toonies lmao. When I’m drinking I can quarter a beer cap. But only when I’m drinking
Gotta wait till the moon is 3/4 waxing & Sagittarius is in Jupiter, bend with chopsticks & while listening to opera
Kidding aside, time of day, water levels, temperature, & genetics all influence stem turgidity. I think I had less break off problems in the mornings.
Nice pair, bud.
Lob
Please, can you explain that?
HG!
Sure
Silica will help strengthen cells wall, making branches thicker but also more flexible and less snappy. So when training you can really bend anyway you want and crush the stems with pliers and it will heal in no time forming a big knuckle.
Oh, many thanks!
Didn’t know that!
