How to grow weed outdoor?

Absolutely ripe you can see the little columns of marching amber helmet soldier tricomes intermingling with the milky helmet tricomes one’s looking like a good 15 to 20 % amber that’s damn good numbers that’s what I usually shoot for now.Not to up not too down right smack in the middle with most stuff.

Ime autos and fems aren’t as user friendly as advertised. Cuts/clones from a reputable source.

Good luck

Just want to make sure that you didn’t think I was suggesting that it didn’t finish?..
Clearly it did well. My only point was that growing around 40 degrees north, it would have started flowering a lot earlier than if it was in my back yard, 10.5 degrees further north.
Prior to the fall equinox, the days are longer the further you go north.

On August 1st, you are already down to 14:15 between sunrise and sunset, and I’m still at 15:18, a whole hour difference and don’t see the same photoperiod until 20 days later.

This leaves less time to finish and of course being further up north the growing season ends sooner…

I hope this makes the intent of my response clearer. Sorry for not elaborating more.

Cheers

Yes, the area I’m at, the outdoor grows starts to flower around the the beginning of the 2nd. week of August…I like to take it to 70 days…plenty of time…I have the use of a green house this year…so I’m gonna be tossing my Vietnam Black landrace in the green house after Nov. 1st. this year.

Hahahah, yes - if you want to see an auto trainwreck go look thru my thread of devastation.

I would start with regular or fem’s (leaning heavy fem, so sexing issue is removed) autos are not a beginner thing. (I’ve learned the hard way hahahaha)

Honestly looking at the Temps in India, you are in India right? (Sorry if not, closest location to Kerla was Kerala).

“The average daytime temperature in Kerala ranges from 82°F to 90°F (28°C to 32°C) on the plains, but drops to about 68°F (20°C) in the highlands”

Short of sourcing seeds locally, you’ll want to search for higher heat resistant strains.

Kerala India? Is it 12/12 there all the time?

That’s what I read as well

Your first message is about basics for indoor or outdoor.
First choice to make is will you grow indoor or outdoor. It is completely different.
Depending on your location, your free time for maintenance, the quality of the indoor material you can have or not, the moment you want to plant the seeds and harvest, do you have a safe place for months of outdoor growing, is it legal to grow where you are, … I’d say before anything, make a choice between in or out.
For indoor, easy basics : a growbox with perfect light(s) and good soil. Or hydro, aero, depending on your budget and space.
For outdoor - pay attention to the dates -, best sunny place (south) with a little constant wind.
Grab a good strain with nice genetics; and learn to trim, water, etc.

Choose the location carefully. Full sun or as close as possible with good soil, and you won’t have to do much for huge yields. I dig out a hole around a foot wide, and add good soil with a starter dose of my dry fertilizers. Grow them indoors in a solo cup enough to develop some roots and strength before putting outside.
This assumes you’ve chosen a good strain for your conditions as mentioned above. This includes flowering time, resistance to mold if it is humid (important), and even robustness in a windstorm if you get that.
So if you choose a good spot and a good strain, you don’t need to do a lot. Add water if you get a long period with no rain, but if they look happy leave them alone.

It’s an early 70’s hybrid with Afghan…made by a Vietnam vet. Still killer and one of my favorite smokes.
Keep in mind this doesn’t mean it’s an indica sativa hybrid. There were still Afghan sativas around back then.

@Naku we need more details about your location. Latitude, elevation, rainfall.
