how long after doing that do you see genetic drift or loss of vigour?

So I’ve got these 4 plants that want to be mothers and eventually take clones.
To get maximum amount of clones in the shortest amount of time, should I be topping these or just let them grow naturally?

I like really simple. So what I do is take two cuts around the time I flip to flower. Usually the same day. If they both survive, and they usually do, I give away or toss a cutting.
Whenever I want to run it again I up-pot, veg, and when I’m ready to flip, take two more cuttings. That way it seems like everything is always moving towards flower - except the backup cuts from plants grown from seed.

Great, I subscribe to the KISS principle in most my endeavors because I get way too deep, so I have to remind myself, KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID,lol. Glad to have found this thread, Im getting back into it, after a really LOOOOOOONG hiatus, thanks all!
