From what I hear they’re not very pleasant.
All I know is that the transition from carpet to tile in the kitchen looked like a couple feet difference in height. Trippin balls I think it was called!
You were “ Living the dream” @mota . Never let anyone tell you different
.
@Magu, that is no shit. I feel so lucky that I actually got to experience that, even if it wasn’t more long term. I’ve always been far too lazy to live like that, I just hadn’t recognized it yet. So many folks I knew never got to do that, be a back to the lander, as much as they might have liked to have.
@mota . I really enjoy seeing your old pictures man. I lived through those times as well. I must be about the same age as your son. My brothers and sisters were hippies in the 1960s and 1970s. When my oldest brother got married we had a family picture taken. We all looked like we had just got off the bus from the Beatles “ Magical Mystery Tour”.
hippies are a strange lot. i had some friends who were born on the farm in tn. their mom was a midwife and the 2 sisters and a brother were something. don’t get me wrong they were great people, but damn, sometimes the thinking and actions were not what i would have expected at all. that reminds me i have to get in touch with one of them soon. glad i read this thread.
I think he’s maybe 52. I think he was born in 1972.
For my old eyes, that’s a good look!
