My inkbird heat controller temperature sensor is at canopy height, not tge top of the tent height. I run my heater on full/max, but its cintrolled by the inkbird controller so the heater runs until the canopy (about 18" off the floor) is at 24°C.
I usually don’t have an issue with humidity during veg. If anything I only need a dehumidifier for flowering. If it’s running a little dry I make sure to keep my soil moist (less water, more waterings) and I’ll sometimes put a large dish of water near the fan. But for me it’s the opposite, it’s often too humid.
When I’m using the tent, humidity can be an issue. In the closet it runs <40% though. Usually I just mist regularly up to the last couple of weeks. I’d like to automate though.
I’ll tell you what my simple humidifier is, a big yellow car washing sponge! Soak it in warm water and and put it in the tent! Before I had the sponge I used a towel. If temps are too low I just use a heat mat under it to help with evaporation.
That’s for flowering, my veg tent is much smaller so I use a small microfiber dusting cloth also soaked in warm water.
They do need to be watered just like the plants but it hasn’t failled and the better part of it is free!
The tent is getting full! Lol, I’m thinking I will top AND transplant on the same day… rip that bandaid off, lol.
I’m seeing two distinct branching and leaf patterns between the plants and they are growing like weeds. (knock on wood) This is looking like it’s going to be a very low maintenance project
