Time to nip the light spider mite outbreak in the bud, (pun intended). There is no webbing yet, and the temps are cooler/more humid now, so we should be good. I already have a resident population of lacewing, and minute pirate bugs keeping the other crawlies in check. They just could not keep up with the Two spotted spider mites in the heat.
This is awesome! Do you use this only when you have a problem? Or do people use this as a prevention tool?
Personally, both. I just let 300 ladybugs loose in my grow as a preventative but I’ve also got a.cucumeris running around looking for eggs and larvae. I think it is good to have one present as a deterrent and one for outbreak response. Then if not too late Azamax.
Prevention is best. I watch these ladies like a hawk so I spotted them early and reacted with the best predator to wipe them out. I also added a mix of other mites that will hang around after P. Persimillis eats them out of house and home.
I looked at the Good Guys site. What do you get? There are so many different kinds.
P. Persimillis
Thank You for the information.
Keep your humidity up for those predator mites!
