I feel like these single digit temps in the winter are a relatively recent development here, at least in my part of the state. I don’t remember it getting so cold so regularly back in the day. I’m not a fan.
Morning OG! Just got on and am already out of likes?
I was gonna ask… . You put sand in the grow room? ROFLMAO
Had a cousin do that years ago. 22 garbage cans of sand for a NYE Party in a basement in East Brunswick. Plus painted the walls to look like Seaside Heights. Was the coolest thing!
“Seaside Heights” and “coolest thing ever” don’t belong in the same sentence
That would be pretty cool though. I imagine you can’t leave that as a feature though cause it seems like it might attract insects or something.
I was in Boy Scouts for a minute (yeah believe it or not) and they made us do a polar bear plunge in a pool. I think it was under the guise of prepping us for a diving certification or some horse shit like that, can’t remember. I remember it sucked.
I mean it seems hotter in the summer as well for what it’s worth.
That would not be my first polar bear plunge. I believe I’ve mentioned that my dad was straight out of Calvin & Hobbes - a psychopath who thought that being sent across half-inch wide rope bridges over 100-foot wide lakes in the middle of winter builds character.
This cold weather is a bitch… my chickens still lay eggs all winter, unless your out there catching them as they fall, they freeze in no time. Most days the dogs get frozen treats. Somedays we get lucky. The shells crack when they freeze.
I still have a bunch of the compilation books they put out around too, occasionally I break them out and read them again. Right now there’s a grow room in the way, though. The tent pretty much takes up the whole damn room… and yeah, probably a headache if not actually a tan. The plants do have a tan though, so maybe that too.
