Morning everyone have a great day
Good morning everyone!
Good morning all!
We got a full vial of pollen from the Frosted Cobra after it had done the job in the budroom. It’s been chopped and added to the compost bin. This vial is plenty to do 2-3 plants.
Evening. All the frankies sprouted within 24 hours and have been put in cups. One had a half inch tail in that time. Today, ~3 days from placing them, I had a nice little surprise in that one of the shackzilla’s has cracked open. Going forward, I will never not start any seeds in worm castings. Not that I ever had any doubt but I’m not exaggerating when I say this is a >12 year old seed that saw 100’s of days at 100 degrees. Quite possible the greatest tip I’ve learned here. Many thanks @JohnnyPotseed.
Always a pleasure to gather another convert, cuz! Glad you liked my method, lol.
THAT is a cool story (and a testament to @JohnnyPotseed knowledge) were they leftout at room temp consistently? was it transferred between fridges?
Love knowing the background on what the seed was able to withstand at such an old age, thanks again to you both for some cool info!
~2010-11, I bought some seeds from Sannie’s Shop and picked these as the freebies. I passed them on to an old buddy who popped a couple of them (Killing Fields) and thought he’d lost the rest. Turns out he’d left them in a dresser which he’d stored inside one of those 53’ big rig trailers he kept on the back of his property. He’d recently cleaned it out and found them. Many years of sweltering summers and sub freezing winters.
@MassTerpyy the info was in his first post above the pics, cuz
lol nevermind, he provided even more info!
