On the topic of Ganja in Oklahoma, lol so far since the crackdown here. They’ve busted over 3000 illegal grow-ops, and over 1 million pounds of Ganja!

And yet, lol OK is still the number one exporter of ganja to the rest of the country! smh

It’s obvious, there is a LOT of Ganja being grown in OK!
That’s why it’s so cheap here in the dispos now. Also obvious why it’s being shipped out to other states lol

Yeah. It’s incredible. I can be driving down the road with windows up and you can definitely smell cannabis. A lot.

Thank gawd they stopped anyone from being able to OD on all those marijuanas! LOL

I never would have guessed it but somehow I’m not surprised. So does that mean Merle was lying?

Just the day before yesterday they busted an illegal grow with over 70,000 lbs. The barn could never produce that!

Where did you get these cool skeletons? My wife would love something like that

I had just scrolled back and saw your post from yesterday about it, with the AG’s quotes on how much % cannabis in NYC originated in OK. That is wild. And here I am, paranoid just walking out of the med dispensary even though it’s legal in my state. Old habits, etc.

Yeah lol it took me awhile to get used to being ‘legit as it git’

My state has a $100 annual fee to grow at home. Would you pay $100 per year to be put on a government list?

I paid my state $50 per year to be put on a government list (MMJ) but it costs an additional $75 for the annual dr appt to get my recommendation renewed, so $125 all in all…

That gets you a card, shops access to your data, and all of the infrastructure and planning needed to make that work. You are getting something for your dollars.

The $100 fee here doesn’t do anything beneficial. The costs are in maintaining the list and processing payments. There are no benefits that I can see. It is, at best, some attempt to recoup the money ‘lost’ because grown and personally consumed stuff is basically not taxed.

In Oklahoma, we have to get an Medical Marijuana Patient card to be able to legally buy/smoke/grow without being arrested. It can vary in cost, depending on what Doc you go see. The card is issued by the OMMA (Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority) after you go to a doc and they fill out the proper paperwork. So, the state issued card is $100, plus whatever fee the doc charges.
OMMA is also the entity in charge of everything Ganja-related. They control dispos, labs, growers, processors, disposal companies, patients.
After a lifetime of being illegal, I’m glad to pay whatever it takes!

edit… the card is good for 2 years. It’s a photo ID. So actually it costs $50/year

This sounds very similar to my state, we just weren’t allowed any legal home grow of any type (med or rec) until the voters took matters into our own hands last year. Now we have legalized home grow for adult use. I’m hoping that my state legislators will allow med patients to have an increased plant count, or for caregivers to be allowed to grow additional plants for their patients. That would be sweet! So far there’s been no indication of that happening but I can dream :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

In OK, you can grow 12 plants each card holder in the household. 6 in veg, and 6 in flower. also you can be a ‘legal provider’ which means you can grow for as many folks that are also card holders that register with you. Being the ‘provider’ has no fee. Just the number of plants is raised by 12, for each patient you grow for.

Each card holder can have up to 3ounces in their possession while out-n-about, also for each card holder;

up to 8 ounces of cured flower in home
up to 1 ounce of concentrate
up to 72 ounces of edibles

A commercial grower license/fees, etc ran around $3000, during the years we were
commercial growers. The price has changed in the past couple years, aftr we retired from it.
When commercial grower, there was no limit on the number of plants, or product.

So what was your highest plant count JP? A guy like me dreams of an indoor forest covered with 100s of strains :joy:

When we were licensed growers, we had mothers of 52 strains, and usually anywhere from 700-1000 plants. Sometimes a few less, sometimes a few more.
We were what was called a ‘niche grower’ specializing in small batch, top shelf, organic
the dispos were always calling to see whatever we had. Often trying to prepay/pre-order, lol
Anything we sold em, literally flew off the shelf, especially Frankie!

That’s one strain per week! Sounds almost planned!
