Jones Organic Indoor Journal

Not really but what I think is happening is they’re getting stuck inside those little fertil cups I’m using and can’t poke through kinda like what happened with my hashplant I went to transplant it cause it was so tiny and found that it had gotten trapped inside the fertil cup because for them to grow the roots through it they must stay moist so what I’ve been doing is setting them in some water and it wicks up through the pots works great now with what I have going but previously I hadn’t known so I’m thinking maybe it’s kinda tangled up or constricted and can’t freely just grow idk just my theory either way I transplanted the 3rd one into a 15 gallon fabric pot and set it outside

I think transplanting that one outside may tell you something if it is transplanted into different soil than your indoor bed’s soil possibly

Different as in a different bed of soil or different brand because it’s still the kis biochar mix

Well different in regards to make up… is your bed reused and the pot brand new?

Yeah beds been there for a while like a year maybe barely used I did another bucket of the kis nutrients to refresh the soil after the auto grow threw some oly mountain fish compost on that cut the cover crop and put straw over all that. The pot is brand new fresh biochar mix

Ok, yeah maybe you will see a difference between the two… personally, looking at that chart(there are more legible ones out there) I still lean towards the phosphorus deficiency but others should chime in… any purpling on the stems? It could be that low ph of 5.7 you mentioned as well.

Just the one hashplant the other had a little purple on the stems of the leaves but the slurricanes have no purple whatsoever those are the rusty looking ones

Seems like a lot of stuff crossed off on the list however when I looked at actual photos I’m not so sure:

The lemonhash purple ones don’t have the rust marks and the leaves aren’t falling off only the slurricane are rusty and turning crispy but no purp at all

Which ones are the slurricane?

The ones that were potted

Maybe it comes off different on camera, but didn’t they look a lil blueish green?

Altho it also seems when they show pics of the blue-ish green it’s a lil more blotchy where it looked like yours was consistent throughout?

Yeah I see what youre talking about I think its the camera may be the bright light messing with it

I think your best bet at least with that big bed is a soil sample… take a lil bit from multiple places in it and that should give you the best idea of what is going on…

The most ideal way to do it apparently is a test before a grow and after so you know what the cultivars ate and can amend with those specifics… I am talkin a bit out of my ass I will admit tho cause I have not done that either lol

By the way, I mentioned Humic acid before, found out a lil more, if you already have nutrients in the soil, might want to go a lil light with it if you decide to give it a try… wish I was more knowledgeable to help out further :man_shrugging:t2: Maybe @Sebring might have a clue as I think he know a bit about LOS

This charts says mine have a Phosphorous Excess/Deficiency.

I don’t think you are talking out of your butt at all. If you don’t take a sample, you are just guessing. I would say that is great advice.

Also, I don’t think humic acid would do anything but help, but I’m no expert on that.
