Las Vegas Hard Water

Would running it thru a Berky if a spelled that
Water filter or something along those lines help?

How about using a countertop distiller for the metals removal?

That one does 6 gallons a day I think.

Hey neighbors! I’m in South Vegas.
My tap is 7.8 ph and 500ppm!
It’s free calmag with a sweet touch of Uranium.
Uranium is mostly from nature I think not nuke tests.
Here is the LV water quality report:
https://www.lvvwd.com/water-quality/reports/summary-las-vegas-valley.html

Now the funny thin is I cant find it for N las Vegas, only some BS summary of the nasties from runoff I guess.

Charcoal hose filters only filter chloride and undissolved solids.
You can collect rain water in vegas easily too.
I use a cheap RO for indoors but mix tap sometimes too.
For outdoors it’s all tap and Dr Earth for flowering (any cheap granular stuff will do for veg).
Fabric grow bags will collect the extra minerals on the outside.
You aint doin hydro with this tap water but you can mix in dechlorinated tap for cal mag.

Good info, GYO!

Your stats are just like mine high 7’s ph and hovering at 500ppm.

Still doing the RO water thing for my third grow. Maybe one day I’ll run a couple of clones in the 2x4 and compare grows with equal parts Athena Blended. A bit leary running synthetic with such high base PPM. If I was doing organic, I probably would have already been using the tap.

My waters hard to, like it turns dark blue when I test it.
I just add 2 cap fulls of ph down and it goes down to 6.6
Been like this 5 years almost with no problems.
