Lego for Stoners

the sets they had back then were mainly just parts in a box. they weren’t very imaginative with them until the late '80s/early '90s if i recall correctly. maybe a little later than that. when all the specialty blocks with colors other than the primary ones they got really cool. i could be wrong, it’s been a while and i smoke a LOT.

Let’s not forget about the best kif scooper on the market - the Lego Shovel. Just the right amount for a bowl topper.

Outta likes.

I remember Legos from the early 1950s. I liked them but not as much as, for example, Erector sets or Gilbert chemistry sets.

I will be buying a Lego shovel shortly.

Thank you, @smokekulture, for that post!

I think we’re about the same vintage. I’m 74.

I played with Legos when I was a kid, and what I remember about those early ones was they were a different kind of plastic than what they’re made of today, and it seems to me that they had little lines imprinted in each red piece so each one looked like multiple bricks. As I recall, they were more on the pink side of red than the red of modern blocks.

And yes, you are correct, the “sets” that we got were simply individual pieces with no plans to build a specific thing.

You may also remember early VW beetle front badges with bricks in the castle.

Thats awesomeness

“Can we get some Lego up in this piece?” said this one guy without irony or coloquialism. Watch close, it’s brilliant

Some hotrods in the stable. Check that rubber band suspension.
