Logbook of the Nautilus

Shes on the right next to the big Lambsbread.
Dunno how to quote pictures.

The biggest girl of em is in a 100gal pot southside of the mountain, with automatic drippers, so she should get really really big

So you don’t think that a main stem is more stable then a topped plant?
Or just with the cage?

I don’t know if it matters so much whether it’s topped or not for strength… It’s just how the branches grow off the plant that make the succeptable for breaking. When the buds get heavy the downward force just makes the branches break easily at the Y.
I like to top a lot here because the bigger the buds the easier it is for them to mold. However I do think it’s cool to just let them do their thing naturally. You definitely have to cage plants to play it safe. Evertime I don’t it comes back to bite me.

Well,yeah that makes sense.
Problem - The real big ones are on places where a cage would call attention, i would like to avoid.
So as soon as the windy season start i’ll just try to make a “natural cage” by pine wood.
I have mostly landrace sativas this year ( beside a few of yours @Ottafish )
so anyhow they’ll go to start flower in a half year, so i have plenty of time

Nice! Yeah we get some major wind here where I’m at. I had a giant GTH plant one year and I came outside and 2/3 of the branches broke off. I still ended up getting 3lbs off that thing. It’s cool how it grows. Just like a Christmas tree.

Sounds great - the plant i mean.
Do you remember what time of the year she’s finishing?

Here she finished the end of October. Definitely on the later side, but pretty normal for here. The strain is pretty darn hardy . It’s pretty resistant to mold compared to other strains.

Nice! October will be one of the earliest, i think.
Most have estimated harvest mid january / early february…
When the 28 weeks of Lambsbread are true we may go to march

Yeah it totally depends on the climate and photoperiod. Are you close to the equator? You may need supplemental lighting for some plants? Were you the one in Australia?

Yeah sure - but wait what? Australia?
No Dude i’m in Spain
…but nearly as same dry this year.

I think half of February should be fine without any reveg, but after that i could get a bit tricky.

I’m on 36th parallel north

I can’t keep track of everyone… I think I’ve seen that Spain has a similar climate to Oregon? We get really wet here in the fall, winter, and spring. But you must be warmer if you can finish those landrace sativas.

No worries
I can imagine!

I’m close to the mediterranean sea, so not really wet. 350 days sunshine per year

IF i can. I have no idea. Until January is no problem, but everything above that is absolutley new to me.
Your GTH and Nana Glue are my fail safes
