I reserve “germination methods” for older seed stock. Anything freshy fresh goes straight into a rapid rooter in a 2" netcup of hydroton. The only thing to watch for is the water level in the reservoir never falls below the bottom of the netcups. Once the roots hit water I drop the 2" cup into a 6" netcup, then they stay there through harvest.
