I don’t want Sativex. They can keep it. I would much prefer to be able to grow my own medicine without fear or persecution of harassment.

Sorry off topic

we’ve had MedMJ here since 2012 and I have not participated despite being a valid patient with a doctor’s order for it. I’d much rather take of myself and not register with the State to take herbal medicine, I’ll never do that.

And I definitely don’t need to pay GW Pharmaceuticals $80,000 per year for CBD oil!

Not off topic at all.

Interesting study from Project CBD. A lot of this stuff is similar to previous findings on pure THC medicine (Marinol). My takeaways:

  • CBD patients feel more side effects and drug interactions because they’re often taking huge doses of pure CBD. Whole-herb consumers usually take smaller amounts of CBD combined with the other cannabinoids.

  • Also the full spectrum of cannabinoids in natural cannabis has a protective effect against reactions. (so the “entourage effect” not only increases medical efficacy but reduces drug interaction problems too)

  • There are more interactions and side effects from oral cannabis vs. inhaled because it goes through the liver.

PROJECT CBD RELEASES EDUCATIONAL PRIMER ON CANNABINOID-DRUG INTERACTIONS
Given the increasing acceptance and prevalence of cannabis as a therapeutic option, it’s important for physicians and patients to understand how various cannabis components interact with commonly consumed pharmaceuticals.

Reading through here, I have to wonder…

  • the first world war was about to start, so fiber-producers were on alert (cotton, hemp).
  • this had to be over a local incident(as mentioned in the linked article)… where the “Good” Deputy was offended & associated weed-smoking with the offenders. that and the time. there were active war battles going on then, so it could be a big part of it.

I remember hearing that the song “La Cucaracha” is about la Mota, and Pancho Villa’s people were big on that song…??? A question for @MiG… !Buenos! :telephone_receiver:

say hi to the kinfolk

Jeebus! pennsylvania is a horrible place IMO.

these articles are unbelievable - none of this is a coincidence either, they want the white, native population drugged into submission with occasional raging violence. Looks like about 1/3rd of white women are taking medications that reduce libido - great way to break up families and replace working classes with people that have no legal rights (illegal immigrants)

Psychiatry has labored diligently for decades to promote the spurious notion that depression which exceeds certain arbitrary, vague, and unvalidatable thresholds of severity, duration, and impact constitutes a brain illness. And the fact is that, with the help of pharma dollars, they have been phenomenally successful in selling this destructive and disempowering hoax.

CBD-infused products are being sold everywhere in California — but are they legal?

"In states where recreational and medical marijuana is legal, such as California, CBD derived from the cannabis plant is taxed and regulated, but can be sold only at dispensaries. But as far as the federal government is concerned, CBD pulled from industrial hemp is unregulated, untaxed and illegal.

The confusion is largely attributable to the fact that the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration considers CBD a Schedule 1 substance, along with drugs such as heroin and LSD. "

“…still being peddled…”

It’s wording like this that doesn’t help “our” cause and is entirely within the control of the publisher. Drugs are peddled, medicines are provided, the fine art of propaganda.

If personal testimony is valid: the older person suffering from sciatic pain & back injury, who was terrified of “getting high” after a decades-old "pot-brownie: experience, gave CBD a real try. She’s now a converted believer, using CBD daily, and reports a daily pain level reduction “from an 8 or 9 down to a 2 or 3”.
