We’re doing well enough to keep down the complaints brother.
Always thinking about Zee and you. Remember that.

I was just watching YouTube shorts and this guy was walking trails with his goat pack of billy goats. I had to laugh because i was like man @MoBilly would get a kick out of this! Could of been pack goading this whole time! Lol

I was stupid one night and left a gate unlatched. The next morning I had seven goats browsing around the edge of the yard. I thought for a second I was screwed. But my alpha female loves being near me and when I called, she came trotting over and the rest followed suit. I just walked into the pen and they all followed.
I have no doubt that I could walk these hills with my herd and they would stick right with me.

One thing though… Billies are the stinkiest, most disgusting pets a feller could ever have. I can’t imagine how awful that guy smells after walking the woods with a herd of friendly billies!
You know they piss all over themselves for perfume. That perfume is readily shared with a friend. My billy is always wanting to rub that nasty stuff on me. I know I could break him of it but he’s in his pen all the time. lol

I just saw a bunch of goats in costumes on Insta @MoBilly . The jumping bumble bee costume was pretty good. Funny stuff.

Good morning @crownpoodle and @Terpsnpurps
CP,
Goats are, normally, goofballs. lol
I think they are so dang smart that they need something interesting to do. They love to play (even my older nannies) and are constantly looking for something to explore.
When you have one that is very attached to humans, they will learn about whatever you want to teach them.
They make great pack animals too. A 200 lb billy can carry a properly loaded 50 lb pack all day with no problems.

Teach them to clean and cook and I will buy one from you……. NOT!

If I could just teach them to crap in one spot it would be an improvement. lol
“Just go over to the wheelbarrow and fill it up for the garden”. That would be so epic!

I’m not sure I’ve ever heard a truer statement about goats. They are so smart! And, as you allude to, seriously inquisitive! Those two facts, and the entire stink face issue with billies, always kept me from keeping goats. That said, I do believe they might be as smart as pigs, and that’s saying something coming from me!

Yes, I am somewhat of a pig. wtf

That might be so but the stubbornness of a goat hides their intelligence.

That’s so funny. Stubborn as they are, I’ve always thought of them as crazy intelligent!

Alter talking about goats, or people @mota ? I’m thinking both.

Your thinking is solid, I think, @crownpoodle!

Working with a goat is a chess game. You don’t want to ruin the relationship by being aggressive with them but they are so stubborn you can’t drag them into what they don’t want or keep them away from what they want…
The game is to figure out HOW to set things up where they have no choice other than to do what you want or stay out of what you don’t want them getting into…
It only takes one success for them to find out something works. Then you have to adapt. lol
Such fun!
