I was climbing just 5 years ago. I am still in fairly good shape for my age. Last year I did my neighbors tree for them very similar to what Mo has.

I put that cargo strap on it when I thumped it and it sounded soft. You know the sound. It’s a hickory so it should have had a ring to it. Nope. I’d say the bottom is pithy. I’ll only know how deep the rot is, though, when I cut into it.

Afternoon @MoBilly . My daughter who recently got the guitar says “Tell your friends I’m getting callouses”! She said she’s happy to have music back in her life on a participation level, even if that’s just her and her cats for now. She’s checking out different percussion instruments. She got exposed to some cool stuff traveling in Peru.

That storm looked wicked for us right until just before it got here. The worst part split down the middle like the parting of the Red Sea and went East and West of us. The real bad area was SSE of us. Those poor people got pounded!
We got hit but nothing at all like I expected. Everything, including that tree, is still where it’s supposed to be. lol

Results are in for us, we got just over 8" ion the past three days. Quiet a few tornados, and damage, in the teens for people injured, flooding in a lot of places.
Personally, nothing of any import, thankfully. just a few limbs in the yard, top of house over all of this.

I’d be surprised if we got more than 2 - 2 1/2" out of this whole weeks rain pattern. It just kept skirting around us to each side.

There was an 8week drought before this came in. Lot of places needed it badly.

Dude! We were sitting at around 70 days of dry here. Idiots were still out there burning brush piles and trash during drought conditions.
My grandnephew and his girlfriend are volunteer firefighters and they were on calls dang near every day.
High winds, drought conditions… seems like a perfect time to burn my neighbors home to the ground!

I wish it would stop raining here… its starting to flood now…
My dehuey is running full time… and its a friggin big 1 for an entire basement… cant keep the room under 58 % humidity … and im in flowering
