Here’s something that IMO isn’t discussed very much, if at all, as it pertains to this topic:
I personally feel like the trend for harvesting cannabis leans to the “overripe” side . Like, i hardly ever see anyone harvesting plants that are still actually green, they always seem to either be darkened/blackened or faded out as hell ---- and yes I know this is often a genetic expression, my dad and I run a cut of PBB that turns near-black ----- to the point where I feel like there’s too much emphasis on “chlorophyll dissipation” and not enough emphasis on the overall peak flavor-point at harvest. It turns out, a slightly earlier harvested plant might be tastier than its later harvested counterpart washing for hash, for instance; aren’t those plants traditionally harvested on the early side for optimal taste?
I dunno, that’s just my take. I recall back in the day before I grew myself but helped people trim or whatever, it seemed like EVERYTHING was 8-9 weekers. Nowadays you’re scoffed at if you chop a plant before 10 weeks
