No more small pots!

I missed this reply somehow. I’m glad that helped, even if just a little bit. Yeah I had no cross pollination issues whatsoever and my tents are about 4.5’ apart—both with intake/exhaust but I do turn them off when collecting.

Sfv OG s1

Garlic Juice x Sour Bubble (my cross)

Sour diesel bx4 #7 male looking nice and clean. Still fattening and nothing dropped yet so I’m just keep on letting him go.

Blueberry Faygo looking almost done already…adding the 10 days at 14/10, they’ve only been in flower for only 43 days. Now I love me a good fast finisher, as long as she’s fully mature and the amber trichome coverage is at the ratio i believe gets me the strongest herb…they’re getting chopped. I see too many people unwilling to chop before 55 days because they don’t think it’s possible or don’t wanna say they choose so soon but the trichomes don’t lie. They can’t revert from amber to clear and restart their process of dying Benjamin Button style. So in that light, why would letting a plant go extra time when the ratio is ideal just because….because? Lol now I understand wanting the couch lock, narcotic type highs. Time and a place for all types stone cannabis gifts us with. But I’m certainly not gonna stop listening to the plant when it needs me the most. Trichomes in the sfv close up are also showing a good 80% milky. Looks like about 53 days then the chop for both the SFV and Blueberry faygo—I’ll let these two go another week.

Thank you my friend…and I agree with you in appearance she’s a dead ringer. I’m very excited to see what you think.

I’ve been searching for a plant that is as close to the classic OG profile that us older heads are used to enjoying. A smell that I’ll never forget lol it’s LOUD…almost like you walked into a damp pine forest post-summertime rain shower after cleaning your house all day with lemon pinesol and you just stopped to get gas before going on the hike but spilled some on your hand hahahaha and the best part, you have that taste for hours because it coats the mouth, throat, and even the depths of the lungs.

It’s becoming a close 2nd to my sour keeper—sour is just too nostalgic to be dethroned.

Anyway, funny enough the first time I smoked SFV OG S1 I was in the San Fernando Valley lol and before leaving made sure to grab a zip of it because I knew it would be a long time before I got that profile again. Which now makes that even more special to me. I’ve been chasing this since 2015, and now she’s mine for good

This picture shows just how fat this SFV OG s1 is getting. The smell on this one is just such a classic OG kush it’s gettin me really wanting to chop lol it’s got some time still. The next two pics are still the SFV and the state of her trichomes. Looking thoroughly milky and some amber and even a few clear still.

!

Everything from here downward is from one of the lowest nuggets on the gluetini. Holy moly is this a trichome dense cultivar or what!?!? Dang @Tonygreen :cold_face::fire::fire:

Oh is that what you want…my CripXmas B which will be the new version of the Crippy that’s stable and fast flowering is exactly that LOUD menthol/pine. I nearly put the nugs in my nostrils to BREATHE the odors and it really took me back to the 90’s

Looking through this grow I think you’ve earned a tester spot if you want it. I only ask seeds are started once space clears, unless you have other commitments ahead.

Definitely trichome dense af! Very nice work TONY and @ColForbin lovin it!

My understanding is that Crippy is basically a selected OG Kush…
Is that your opinion as well?

I’ve been looking at future breeding possibilities for OG Kush (TK, etc) that would produce loud menthol/pine… and you already have it… :+1:

If you are looking for fall 2023 testers, perhaps we should talk.

Cheers

I’d say for all intents and purposes, yes. I’ve seen multiple references of Pakistani Blue, which I’ll assume is a Kush crossed to Chemdog 91, and that 91 would make perfect sense for the time it was gaining immense popularity in FL. The NL2 definitely fits the profile to Chem D, so I knew it was before NL5 came out. I’d be honored to have you test run G, so you can get the terps back to the OG project you’re doing. I didn’t expect the B to have that old school odors but just plugging nugs in the nostrils brought me back to the time of deep pungent pine/funk and gas. Just hit me when you’re ready to start and I’ll get it out :+1::grin:

Newcomer to your thread and overall noobie here. Very nice grow you have there! Compliments.

Dumb question: what’s the deal with the various other plants cohabitating with your girls? To me it seems like that’s competition for nutrients. But I figure you have a good reason for leaving them. I’d like to understand what you’re doing. TIA!

Hey hey! First of all thank you for stopping by, and second…those are cover crop. It’s a mix of different low growing, non competing plants that actually help my grow exponentially. Without the cover crop my plants don’t get nearly the N fixation they need—no matter the amount of N some just isn’t available without the cover. They also act as a mulch, keeping my top layer of soil moist allowing the soil’s biology to breakdown and begin the nutrient cycling process that is so vitally important in organics.

I made the switch to organics and I haven’t had any nutrient deficiency or excess since. It’s been an amazing journey but I’m pretty certain this will be the way I grow forever.
