I found out during the early 2010’s that for some odd reason, i actally had a knack for fixing these things. Repaired/played/sold probably 75 machines during that period. I really enjoyed it and I miss having them around, but i sold them all to use as a down pymt on our 2nd home at the time. I’d still like to do it today, but it’s so hard to find unrestored machines anymore, they are super heavy for an old man to move around (pinball hernia anyone?), but most of all they got so damn expensive. I’m retired now and it’s hard to drop $5-8k on a game. And honestly, I found out I really liked the fixing more than the playing. The logic required just kind of suits me well I guess

Thank you so much for the link! That looks fun as hell, and Dixon is just a couple of hours away. I’m making a note of that event and am going to try to attend next year. I loved pinball as a kid, though I was no wizard. I don’t know who is.
