Overwater, too close to light, too humid? Ughghhh

What’s your heat like in there in general? I feel like it doesn’t sound like your light would be close enough at that strength to do it but is it gettin pretty hot in there in general?

Oh ok Thank you very much for that. Forsure helps understanding all of it more

Its not hot in there at all maybe 75f the highest it got in there

I’d be surprised if it was the light at that strength and height but like they said the par meter helps. Those forsure look the same as these leaves with the issue tho. Exactly the same I feel like

The light could be a possibility but they are over a month old so they should be able to handle a dimmed 25% i would asssume. These leds are bery powerful im almost scared to take it off dim mode. I downloaded photone to get an idea. Any recommendations on what the ppfd should be?

From my understanding if you’re tryna get them growing in veg (not just holding a mom or taking clones) 600-800 and in flower you should want as much of it as possible getting 800-1000 some say 1100 max personally I like around 1000 max. This is without adding co2. If you got carbon dioxide going in then numbers can be higher. However I’ve been watching with the par generally and I do think that those numbers were good but with my light turned down and being close the temp on the top leaves was too high even tho the rest of my tent seemed good. I think that was the issue here

That dropped leaf tip pointing hard downward is a classic light stress sign, and you mentioned some areas over 1000 par. How quickly did you go from veg light setting to the current one? Full power increase on the day you flipped?

leaf temp - will answer all questions - but they are a bit expensive !!! ???

I had slowly over a couple days raised the power, but they began to shoot up I didn’t want that just over 1000 but when I came in this morning that’s what that point was. And I just hooked the temp gauge next to the top that looked the most stressed, closed the tent and went out for 30-40 mins or so when I came back and checked the temp at that spot was 83 after moving the light up a bit already so I think 99% sure it was the fact that I didn’t realize how big of a difference the heat was in the rest of the tent compared to the leaf surface that close to the lights. When the temp was mid-high 70s in the center of the tent.

Glad you have a working theory! Now the fun part: waiting to see if you’re right

Veg 300-600
Flower 800-1000

Hmmm i wonder what my case could be. I dont think leaf temp is high and i put plant in corner of tent to not get the most concentrated portion of light like center of tent and light is 2-3ft above canopy. Im gonna check ppfd and possibly lower the light and monitor.

Well like @Fuel said up there, leaves doing this is a sign of very active transpiration. When I get a minute I’m gonna look up what could be some other causes of that
. Maybe would help with some leads

Have you looked into Vapour pressure deficit yet? Could be playing apart. The rabbit hole is endless with this and it’s all trial and error unfortunately. This could be what is happening to you both as well.
If the value of VPD is very small, the optimum rate of growth is not achieved. Different problems like mold and root rot arise because of it. If the value of VPD is very large, the plant stomata will close in an attempt to limit transpiration . This will result in the occurrence of problems like tip burn and leaf curl.
Keeping the VPD in the sweet spot usually helps to eliminate these type of issues.
Here’s a chart

Tips curled down like that means you are on the cusp of giving them too much conductivity/nutrients. Edges of the leaves look normal to me.

I support Joe’s opinion it looks like a plant that’s on the cusp of being over fed. The indicators are the tips pointing down, leaf edges curling upward and the slightest beginning of tip burn. I would check media PH and EC.

Damn this one is burning then, i was fooled by the velvet texture and the perfect green hue for photosynthesis.

I actually haven’t feed these anything yet just transplanted up with roots organic soil I planned to start feeding them soon but they moved from 3 gallons to 7 gallons, roots organic, about 10 days ago.

By the way everyone if you see white on any leaves that’s from a sulfur spray just before flipping to flower

Grab a bottle of LITFA & chug it! :joy:
