Well looks like it will be well worth the support effort. Very beautiful.

I did more fiddling with the calculator. Those costs are in Canadian. With v3 Megacrop there is no need for 2 mL calimagic and that further drops the cost by about 2.5c per gallon. With 2 grams epsom it’s almost exactly like Jacks 3.6/2.4/1.2. Furthermore it can be mixed at 4/1.6 which will reduce the cost even further to about 4c per gallon.

I’m going to try this or some other modified version on my next round of plants.

Right lol?

After playing with the nutrient calculator and analyzing my feeds and testing out a different feed on one caramel candy kush clone I’ve realised what I feed normally is super low in potassium which is part of the contributor to the less than beefy stems it seems. This megacrop test plant is much stronger with thicker stems and it’s very high in potassium in comparison. I only needed one bamboo for the megacrop plant to keep the entire plant from leaning. My other plants I pretty much had to build tomato cages around them with wire to keep the branches from flopping.

so I think that may be a contributing factor to my particular situation.

I’m excited to test this new feed I came up with on the next run of things, trying to further dial in the megacrop.

That’s pretty interesting. Is there silicate in your other food? I know it’s in mega crop…

I noticed my stems got way fatter and stronger after switching to MC vs the canna I was using before.

Ah yes I have heard silica can contribute to stronger stems as well. No I don’t think there’s any silica in the gh I been using.

You noticed the same thing too eh? I will have to peep the Canna numbers and see if it’s a similar situation.

*edit - it appears to be no silica in the Canna as well. So maybe that is the bigger culprit to stem strength than potassium is.

When I lowered my N ratio in flower I got noticeably stronger thicker stems.
Also running a bigger fan in veg helped mine too.

my nitrogen is already really low in comparison to most feed’s i’ve looked at but my ratios in general are also very different. In short I feel like I’ve been doing it wrong this whole time. even though I’ve ended up with some dank somehow.

I’m excited to try this new program I came up with. It’s cheaper, simpler and more complete nutritionally.
