Sour Diesel x A5 Haze/Thai BX (Sour Iron Maiden) (seeds from Doc D @ GLG)
Smoke Report:
Waited about 30 days after harvest to hang dry. Smells the same as when I harvested it. Scents of pickles, old playing cards, old paper back book and grandmas kitchen on a sunny day.
On smoke it has a nice transfer of the sour from the pickle and dankness of an old cellar. The high is gentle behind the eyes, light and thoughtful. Very relaxing and uplifting of mood the more bowls I vape. I would smoke this all day without worry of being tired or losing motivation. Doesn’t do much for muscle pain at low smoked dose but may be more effective in an edible larger dose. Will try that later.
The yield on this plant was great so I will probably keep this in rotation for awhile, at least long enough to get a kilo of fresh froze buds and see how it does for hash. That will be one decadent experiment for sure.
Thanks for reading you guys are the best, stay high kings & queens.
So i opened this pack of strawberry lemon tree f5 and there were two jam packed vials of seeds in what was only supposed to be a ten pack. With this many free ones i can pop ten and keep the two or three of the best and still have a full vial left over. What a nice surprise. I’m so tempted to pop more seeds, get rid of 90% of my cloned keepers and keep rolling the dice. The amount of variety I am finding in the cannabis plant is amazing to me. The smells, structure, colors, temperament and high of each one unique. Each pheno seems to have it’s own unique special skill that it is good at.
I’m a sucker for lemon terps and I like popping seeds because the plants are more stout than my clones. Floppy plants that won’t stand on their own are so annoying. I am forever moving arranging and generally futtzing around with my plants and seed plants with their tap roots seem to be much more hardy than the clones. Clones that work the best seem to come from stems that are already thick and dense. I can’t wait to see how these seeds turn out. It’s funny people seem to think less of these genes because they cost 400% less than your average pot seeds. The value of seed an interesting journey. Before legalization no one wanted seeds. They were worthless. But now in legalization if you put some in a vial with cool graphics and packaging it suddenly is worth $45 a pack? I’m not against people making money but I also am a supporter of the freedom of information and seeds are pure information. It is such an interesting time to be a cannabis enthusiast
Smoking on this loud block berry x mango hash plant from @JustANobody. I thought i would tell yall about it. After hanging for a few weeks its ready to be jarred. It smells and tastes so much like fresh mangos. The high will make your head tingle but seems a little short lived. I cannot get enough of the taste. I only yielded maybe 2oz off the plant. Its funny the best tasting pheno gave up the smallest amount of bud. This plant finished three weeks earlier than the other phenos that were going. The two other phenos have dinner terps like beef, chicken, rice and gravy, heh. The yields on those plants 10x better. I did harvest this loud pheno at peak scent rather than trichome color. The buds also have some nice purple in them you cant really see in the photos. Its subtle.
I will definitely grow this plant again.
Today was the only day I had free time this week to water the girls and harvest this final pheno of block berry x mango hash plant from @JustANobody It smells like dinner terps and looks amazing, it was a real indica leaner and had amazing colors and was covered in trichomes, the bag appeal on this one will be off the charts, there are so many dang colors on that bud a rainbow would be jealous. I will hang dry this plant for 30 days and probably wash it unless it gets extremely tasty during cure. If you like huge plants with tons of buds that basically grow themselves and tons of diversity between phenos check out this cross. I could happily look through this line for a year or two and probably not see all the plants it has to offer. I’m tempted to pop five more right now.
I also harvested a few different phenos of alterlatcha (apalachia variant) and all plants were small in stature, short and squat with close branching and nodes, during the heat of summer also when plants tend to stretch out more. All plants had zero terps. I had to put the bud in my nose and still little to no scent. This is a no go for me, I find certain terps essential for needed med effects. While not a keeper, great looking dark green flowers and good yield too. Oh well, thought I would tell you guys so you are not disappointed. The seeds were freebies from GLG. I will wash them fresh frozen. Did not take any photos, no inspiration yah know?
Just marking the date. Dropped six sour fruity pebbles x mango hash plant in some water. Had such good luck with the block berry x mango hash plant that i wanted to look at some more of this amazing line from the mango hash plant. Im predicting these plants will be beast in size and terpy af. Thanks @JustANobody for all these fun plants.
I think the UV helper lights for my LED light in the bloom tent are making all the buds right under the light go purple on many strains or “weaker” plants. I’ve had clones, the same plant, where one purples deeply and the clone not at all depending what part of the tent it’s in and the temp of the water it’s fed.
Made abot 50 grams of bubble hash from fresh frozen buds, 600 grams washed 3Xs for 30 minutes each wash, pulled through a 90u 70u and 50u. The 70u and 50u will be for edibles. The 90u is nice and light with incredible smoked flavors. My technique is always improving.
Made some brownies with the edible grade bubble hash. I took 30 grams of 70u & 50u mixed and melted it into a stick and a quarter of butter. I love using bubble hash in the brownies because it is so easy. You simply melt the hash in the butter let it heat for about fifteen minutes on low heat and make the brownies with butter instead of oil. You don’t really taste the hash and you only need a one inch square for a good six hour full medical effects. It’s currently my favorite way to partake.
